Chapter 3 (Part 2)

I put my head down on the desk in front of me. I was starting to get a headache.

"Good afternoon class."

I looked up and saw Mr. Neverson, I'm guessing, standing in the front of the class.

I sat up completely and gave him my full attention.

"I understand that we have a couple of new students joining us today." He looked to me and Alex. "Care to introduce yourselves?"

I looked at Alex then back at the teacher. "Yes sir." I stood up. "Well my name is Dria and this is my brother Alex." I pointed at Alex then sat back down.

"And are you guys twins?" He asked.

I laughed.

"Is it that obvious?" Alex asked.

"Yea, pretty much." He laughed, then turned back to the class." Okay its time to get down to business. We are going to have a festival or get together thing. Whatever you wanna call it. We are trying to raise money for the prom next year. Mr. Neverson, will you come up here and explain?" he said to Trey.

Huh?

Trey got up and walked to the front.

"Okay, so next week Friday we will be having a party. Like a block party or festival type thing. My..." he pointed to the teacher. "...dad already ask for permission to have it at the school. There will be rides and other activities that will be donated. There will be food but we need people to sign up for shifts. Ummm..." he turned to his dad again. "Is there anything else?" He asked him.

"I don't think..." He trailed off. "No, there isn't."

"Okay, well right now we don't have anything else to talk about. I will pass around a sign up sheet you guys can just talk amongst yourselves." Trey finished then passed around the sign up sheet. After that, he went and talked with his dad.

"Oh Dria, I forgot to tell you." Alex said. I turned to face him.

"I have a soccer meeting today so you can come back and pick me up around eight." He said scrolling through his phone.

"Are you asking or telling?" I asked.

He looked at me. "Telling, duh."

"You're lucky I'm on probation nigga."

He laughed. "And if you wasn't, you still wouldn't do anything."

"Sure last time you said that I went to court."

We both laughed. Susie just stared at us like we were crazy. Alex laughed harder when he saw the face she was making.

"Not really. We're just playing." I told her.

"Oh, I was scared for a second there." She smiled.

"Sorry for scaring you. That's just how we play with each other."

"Siblings." She laughed.

RINGGG!

"Well, see you guys later." She said as she got up.

"Bet." I told her getting up as well.

She left then Alex got up. "I'll call you when I'm ready."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."

I grabbed my bag then walked out to my locker. Once there I took my hoodie off. It was hot af and I had a shirt on under it. What tf did I wear a hoodie for?

I opened my locker then took out the books I would need for my homework and the ones I didn't need I put in.

"Hey Dria."

I looked to my side and Trey was there putting his books into his locker.

"Oh, hey."

"Ready to leave?"

I laughed. "More than ever."

I took my bag out my locker then closed it. Trey closed his to.

"Can I walk you to your car?" he asked.

I smiled. "Sure."

We walked to the front entrance in silence.

"Can you do me a favor?" Trey asked as we approached my car.

"Sure what's up?" I asked as I unlocked my door and got in. I sat my bags on the passenger's seat.

"Can you call my phone. I kinda lost it."

I smiled. "If you want my number, just ask." I said as I rolled down my windows.

He smiled. "Well, can I have your number?" he asked.

"Nope." I said popping the p.

"What?"

I laughed at his face. It was priceless.

"Can I see your phone?" I asked him.

He looked confused but gave me the phone anyway. I put my number in and gave the white iPhone back.

"I put the number in. See you later." I told him.

I shut the door and started the car.

"Thanks Dria. I'll text you later."

I smiled then pulled out and started on home. First day wasn't really THAT bad. Lol :)
