Chapter 12

"And who the fuck are you?" I asked.

"Bitch don't worry about it. Just know you took my man and I want him back."

Que looked at me and I put the phone on speaker. "Look, I don't even know who your man is nor do I want him. I have my own, so calm down."

"Girl that man you got is mine. So back the fuck off!" She anger increased.

So I laughed.

"What the fuck is so funny?" she asked.

"So you're talking about Trey huh? Well if you want him, take him." And with that I hung up.

"What the fuck?" Que asked.

"I don't think Trey would want who ever that was. Plus why would she call me if she truly wanted him? Wouldn't you call the dude and tell him that?"

"You have a point there."

After I finished Que's hair, we left. We went go carting and had a lot of fun. Que loves to just have fun and get crazy. He is a true child at heart. After go carting, we went to subway.

"So what's all this for anyway D?" Que asked as he took a bit of his sandwich.

I shrugged. "No reason. Just wanted to do something fun with my number one nigga." I smiled.

"Girl bye, tell that lie again. You and me both know good damn well what this shits about." He smiled.

"Yea. I just wanted to take you out and help you feel a better. You are a tough person and to see you cry, broke my heart boy. And to hear about your mom, that's really rough."

He didn't say anything. He just continued to eat his food.

After we got done, we headed home.

"Look D, I have a lot I'm going through so don't take it personal if I just shut up. I really don't want to talk about it to be honest. But I did have fun." He said as he pulled into the driveway.

I smiled at him. "Que I know, just stay strong. And if you need someone to talk to, I'm here."

He smiled then we got out the car. He had a date tonight so he had to get ready for that. When I got into my room, I called Susie.

"Hey!" she said.

"Can I ask you a question?" I asked her.

"Sure."

"Did Trey and Monica ever go together?" Ever since that conversation this morning, I couldn't keep my mind off of it.

There was a little pause. "Yea, but that was like a long time ago. Why?"

"Can you tell me what happened to their relationship?"

"That's not my place to tell. Ask Trey."

"Okay, thanks."

We said our good byes and then I called Trey.

"Hey baby." He said.

"I have a question."

"Okay, I'm listening."

"Did you ever have a girlfriend named Monica?" I wanted to see if he would tell me first.

"Yea, but that was a long time ago, why?"

"Can you tell me what happened with y'all relationship?"

"What's this about?" he asked.

"Okay, so your ex was eyeing me down a few days ago at lunch. When I confronted her, she said she doesn't like people that steal from her. And earlier today when I was braiding Que's hair, some girl called me saying that I stole her man. She says she wants him back and that I needed to back off. So I figured it was Monica."

"And what did you say?"

"I said if she wanted you, she could take you."

"And why did you say that?"

"Because, if she had the chance to get you, she would've called you and not me. Plus I don't think you would break up with me for her. I mean I know I'm not the baddest but I sure as hell look better then her."

"Ummm, good point. And you do tho." He laughed.

"So are you going to tell me about her?"

"Okay, so Monica was new sophomore year and I help her out. We then became friends and then got closer. After a couple of months, I asked her out. She then became my first love or whatever." That part made me feel kinda weird. "After almost a year, I found out she cheated on me so I broke it off. She got mad and I haven't talked to her since."

"Then why in the hell did she just come out the blue with getting you back?"

"Shit how would I know."

After about 20 more minutes, we hung up. Trey had to help his dad out. Then I did my homework.
