Chapter 17

Once we got to his house, I took a shower while he made a quick snack for us. It was around 10 something, so it was too late to eat a something large.

It's like I woke up with school being the only worry I had. Now I'm sitting here with my bestest friend in the whole wide world because of his mother's death. Life is confusing as hell. I can't even imagine how Que feels right now.

I got out the shower, and put on some basketball shorts with a white tank top. I put on some white foodies then walked to the kitchen.

"What you cooking?" I asked as I sat at the counter.

He turned and gave me a look. "Now girl, you know I don't cook." He turned back to the counter and handed me a PB&J sandwich. "Here you go." I laughed. " I'm going to go take a shower." He said as he walked out the kitchen.

After I got done eating my sandwich, I called Alex.

"Yea girl?" he said answering.

"Okay I'm here." I told him. He said call when I got there.

"How is he?"

"He doesn't look too good."

"That bad? Dang, poor guy. While look I have to go, but call me back later."

"Okay, bye."

I put my phone on the table and laid back on the couch. Let me tell you, I was pretty sleepy. I turned to Martin then fell asleep.

BAM!

I almost fell off the couch to the sound. I looked around and it was pitch black and there was a blanket around me. I pulled it off as I got up. That sound must've came from Que's room.

I walked down the hall and opened his door. He was at the window with his head in his hands, crying?

"Que, are you okay?"

He didn't say anything. I walked over and wrapped my arms around him. Then he started crying harder.

"Why did she leave me? Why in the hell did she do that? Why the fuck did God take her from away me?" He cried out.

I can't say anything. How can I tell him 'it's going to be okay?' I don't even know that myself. I just squeezed him tighter.

Minutes later he stopped. I lead him to the bed and he got in. I tucked him in and kissed his forehead. When I was about to turn and leave, he grabbed my arm.

"Please don't leave me." He whispered.

I smiled as he made room for me. I got in and let him hold me. Soon I heard his snores, then fell asleep as while.
