I sat in the same place as I did yesterday at lunch. Today since the air is a little bit warmer, there were more people outside.

I pulled out my phone and decided to text Charlie back. She probably thinks I'm dead or something.

Me: Hey chica!

I sat my phone on my lap and continued to eat my chips.

"What's up Dria" Trey said as he sat beside me.

"Nothin much, just eating. What's up with you?"

"Just sitting."

I looked at him. "So, what's up with you? For real?" I asked.

He looked at me. "What do you mean? I'm just sitt-"

I cut him off. "Are you like some popular dude that all the girls would love to touch?"

He looked at the view in front and didn't say anything. I then started eating my chips again.

"Not really. I guess girls like me but I'm not into any of them. And popular, I don't know. I guess I kinda am because of basketball, football, soccer, track, and am the class president. But I really don't pay much attention. Why do you ask?"

I shrugged. "Just wanted to know."

"Were you popular at your old school?"

I stopped eating my chips and faced him. "Alex has always been the popular one and that was never my type of crowd. I rather have maybe one or two real friends then a bunch of fake friends all up in my face and shit. Plus no new friends." I smiled.

He laughed. "Oh really?" I gave him a look. "So what are we?"

I laughed. "Well maybe one new friend." We both laughed.

I know I haven't known him for that long but he is really koo. I think I might actually have a crush on this boy. Wooo, Lord. Help me.

After school I waited by Alex's car to talk to him. I haven't seen him all day. I waited for ten minutes then I left. I ain't got time for this. Shit I'll see him when he gets home.

I pulled into the driveway of our two story house and there were two cars already here. I know ones my moms but the other....I don't know. I parked and I grabbed my stuff then walked into the house. When I got in, I heard laughing so I sat my bags down by the steps then followed the laughing. I walked into the living room and there with my mom was some guy.

"Oh hey sweetie." She said.

"Who's this?" I asked not trying to sound rude or anything.

She looked at the man then back at me. The guy also looked at my mom and back at me. What the hell?

"Hello everybody!" Alex said coming into the house.

"You are now looking at the schools newest and best soccer pla-" But he stopped when he joined us in the living room. "What's going on?"

"Well now that you both are here, I would like you to meet Donell. Your father."

My father? Sitting there like y'all been best freakin friends and shit. Like he didn't hurt us when he left. Left us stuck and lost and just without hope. How could you?!? Man I don't even want to be in here with them anymore. I grabbed my purse then went back out to my car and drove off. I have no idea where I was going but all I know is that I didn't want to be there.

How in the hell can you leave your children then magically come back, like tf? That's nowhere near my father. I have no father. That's the sperm donor. If that nigga would've came back when I was a damn child maybe then I could've had SOME type of relationship with him but right at this point in my life. Hell no!

My phone rung as I waited at a red light.

"Yea?" I asked answering it without looking at the caller.

"Baby, listen. He just wants to talk. Give him a chance. He now realizes what he's done and he's willing to tak-"

"Nope, I rather not. Buh bye now!" I said as I hung up the phone. I know that was rude but I'm pissed tf off.

I can't deal with this shit. I'm not going to deal with this shit. Fuck that nigga, and his feelings. He wasn't caring about anyone's feelings but his when he fucking left us high and dry. He wasn't caring about our feelings when my mom got pregnant still in high school and went though it on her own. He wasn't caring about our feelings when we were born and that nigga wasn't even there. And he absolutely didn't fucking care when he just disappeared one day and then called my mom a month later saying he couldn't do this shit when we were only fucking three years of age. FUCK. THAT. NIGGA! But NOW he realizes? UGH!!!

I somehow made it to a park and parked my car. I let my head fall back on the seat and took deep breaths to calm down. Right when I was calm my phone rang. I answered it without looking.

"What?" I asked angrily.

"Woo, I'm sorry. Is this a bad time?" Trey said.

I signed, frustrated at myself. "I'm so sorry. I'm just having a really bad day right now. I didn't mean to take it out on you." I said trying to apologize.

"It's okay Dria, if you need to talk I'm here to listen."

I laughed. "I might just take you up on that."

He laughed at well. "Well I'll just let you go." He started.

"No, wait." I said. I honestly don't know what came over me but I really wanted to talk to him.

"Yea?" He questioned.

"Can we talk? I'm sorry, but I really do need someone to talk to."

"Sure, no problem. Where are you?"

"I don't know. At some park called..." I looked for the name. "...East Jefferson?"

"Oh, really? I'm down the street. I'll be there in five minutes." He said.

"Okay." We hung up.

I got out my car and walked to a bench by the pond. I don't know why but my emotions kicked in at this point, and I couldn't stop the tears from falling. I just couldn't.

All the times I would see little kids with their dads playing and all the times my classmates would talk about their fathers in class, it just made me feel low. It makes me feel like I'm the reason why he left. Everyone knew about Alex but they didn't know about me. I was behind Alex in the womb so for like the first couple of months or so, nobody knew about me. All my life I've felt this way and never told anyone and now here it is. All coming out in my silent tears.

"Dria, are you okay?" Trey asked as he sat by me. Then he pulled me into a hug. A tight comforting one.

I didn't have words so I just cried on him. And surprisingly he let me. I don't know how long we stayed like this but when I finally pulled back, I wiped my face and smiled lightly.

"Thank you." I said shyly.

"For what?" He asked confused.

"For letting me cry on you, and comforting me. I really needed that." I turned away from him feeling a little more embarrassed.

He turned my head with his index finger and thumb. "Don't thank me. I really like you and I don't want you feeling this way. Thank you for letting me come and comfort you."

Awwww, he's so nice. Hol up, did he just say he really liked me?

"You really like me?" I asked looking into his eyes.

He smiled at me then...
