"Bruh, calm down. She might be busy." Khalil said.

Khalil is my cousin from New Jersey. He's in college right now but came down here to chill and take a little break from college life. He also sings and he studies music and theatre in college.

"Bruh no. She hasn't called me since Monday. It's Saturday!" I yell at him.

I don't know why this gets me so mad. I guess it's because I really care about her and...I don't know.

"Aye, I'm just here to help. Have you talked to her brother?"

"Yea, I asked him and he said she will call me and tell me. But she hasn't."

"Damn dude, she might be with someone else."

I don't know how to feel about that. A few of my ex's did that. One of them didn't talk to me for a whole week. When I stopped trying to reach her, she hit me up like everything was koo. Everyone told me she was creepin but I didn't want to believe it, until I found out for myself. Dria does not seem like the type to do me like that. I just pray to God I'm right about her.

"Dude, I don't even know. She better not be." I told him.

The conversation ended and we continued playing GTA V.

"Aye Trey, you wanna go hoop? D called and said come down to the court." Khalil said coming into my room.

"First off, why in the hell do you have his number?" I asked putting my controller down.

"Shit, last time I was here I guess. We were joking around and exchanged numbers. Iz you mad (haah) he loves me more?" he said the last part in a baby voice.

"Ew, back up nigga. You gay!" I said pushing him.

He laughed. "Nigga shut up, you already know I'm not like that. I love me some coocoo." He looked up at the ceiling.

"Nigga you daydreaming?"

He snapped outta whatever thought he was in then looked at me. "Nigga you coming?"

I laughed. "Sure, let me change right quick."

He left as I went into my closet to put on my black basketball shorts with red lines down the sides and slide on my white, red, and black Jordan 5s. My phone then rang, so I ran to my nightstand to get it. It was Dria.

"Girl don't you know I haven't heard from you since" I paused to think. "Since Monday? And it's Saturday!" I yelled at her.

"I'm so sorry babe. There was an emergency and I had to leave town." She sounded a little sad or guilty.

My anger died down a bit by the tone of her voice.

"Do you mind telling me why?"

She sighed. "Que needed my help."

Okay now I'm confused and angry.

"So let me get this straight. You left town to be with Que? And you couldn't call or even text me back?" What the hell?

"It's not even like that babe, just let me explain."

Okay I'm officially pissed tf off right now.

"Trey you coming?" Khalil yelled from down stairs.

"Naw bruh, look I'll talk to you later I gotta go."

I didn't even give her a chance to reply before I hung up on her.

She fucking left town to be with Que cause he needed her help? She couldn't text or call me back tho? For about five damn days!?! Are you fucking serious?

I grabbed my bag and put my water, keys, towel and phone into it. Putting it on, I walked downstairs. Lil looked at me.

"What!?!" I yelled. My anger was still high.

"What tf is yo problem?" he asked.

"Nothing Khalil, just forget it. Let's go hoop." I told him as I walked out the door. He followed.

Once we got to the court, my homie Drake came up to us. We've been tight since the pull up days, we were always neighborhood friends. He never went to any of the schools I went to, but for some reason always knew what was going on.

"What's up Trey?" He said giving me dap.

"What's up bruh?" I replied.

"Awww, nothing much. Just out here chillin, you? How the girl treating you?"

Just the thought of her made me a little upset. "I have no idea. Let's just play ball." I said grabbing the ball out of his hands.

We played until the street lights came on. All games we played, my team won. What can I say, with me and Lil on a team, we'll whop anybody's ass.

"Aye guess what bruh?" Lil said as we were walking to the corner store.

"What's up?" I said.

"I'm thinking about transferring down here for college. They have a better arts program and they want me."

"Bet bruh. So what are you thinking? Are you going to transfer?"

"I'm thinking about it. I've lived in the north all my life. The southside would be a huge change, living wise. But it's also a good opportunity."

"Does Aunt Marie know about it?"

"No, I haven't told her yet. She will go crazy." He laughed.

I joined him. "Right, she loves her first born too much to let him go. But aye, let me know when you find out what you're going to do."

"I got you bruh. But for real for real, you gone get me some chips. A nigga broke." He asked as we walked into the store.

I laughed. "I can't stand you sometimes."

He laughed. "I know."
