Chapter 9

Today was the day. The day of the party and let me tell you, I was so excited. We ended up moving the party to Friday because its was much easier. And it would gives us more than a day to clean.

I got out of bed and went to my bathroom. This week went by super fast. It felt like just yesterday Que and Justin came into town. Just yesterday I pushed Justin down the steps cause that nigga wanna try and fucking scare somebody. Even tho it didn't work but I gave his ass props for trying.

I washed my face and brushed my teeth. Then I pulled out some ripped dark blue jeans, a black tank top, and a sleeveless olive green jacket. Then slipped on my olive green nikes. I put my hair in a high ponytail, I straightened it last night so it was koo.

I grabbed my bag and my phone off the charger. Then went to the kitchen.

"Good morning people!" I sang as I entered the kitchen.

Alex was eating at the table with Justin right beside him eating as well. Que was at the counter drinking coffee. Ew.

"Someone's in a good mood." Alex said as he put another spoon full of lucky charms in his mouth.

"Yup, you know it." I said as I sat in front of Alex and grabbed an orange from the bowl in the middle.

"So Dria, can I drive?" Que asked sitting next to me.

I looked at him like he was crazy. "Nigga please. Don't nobody drive my baby. Drive Alex's car."

"Oh hell no! Nobody drives my baby." Alex said with his mouth full of charms.

"Please Dria, I haven't drove in a week. I'm going crazy here."

"No Que, sorry."

He pouted and folded his arms. I laughed. After I was done I went to my car, and Que followed. He got in the passenger's seat as I got in the drivers. Then we headed to school.

It was now lunch and I was so happy. School was almost over and I couldn't wait to leave. I sat on the grass outside waiting for everyone. As I was sitting, I felt eyes staring at me. I looked behind me and there was this girl just staring at me. I turned back around and continued eating my food. Then Susie came up to me.

"Hey Dria!" she said.

"Hey, do you know who that girl is?" I asked her and pointed to the girl behind me.

She looked then answered. "Yea, that is Monica."

"Aw, okay." I said turning back to my food.

"Why you ask?"

"Oh, no reason. Just seen her around a couple of times."

"Oh okay. But Joslyn won't be here. She has a test. And Khris went home early. She's sick."

"Okay, thanks for telling me." I smiled.

"No problem but I have to go. I have a student council meeting. I just came to tell you about the girls." She said getting up.

"Okay, thank you. And have fun."

She smiled then walked away. Then Que came up to me and sat down.

"Hey Dria. Why does that girl over there keep staring at you?" He asked.

I looked to where he was pointing and it was that girl Monica. "I don't know. Shit." I shrugged.

"She must like what she see." He said grinning at me.

"Oh shut up." I pushed him.

He laughed. "So where's the boyfriend?"
