"calum?" luke called, knocking softly on his boyfriend's bedroom door. they had twenty minutes to get to school and when calum didn't reply to luke's texts or calls asking when he'd be ready for luke to pick him up, he came over to see what was wrong.

but calum must've been asleep because frank ocean was still playing lowly and his door was unlocked. he slowly opened the door and saw his boyfriend cuddled up in his blue blankets and his window open, which is why he looked so cold.

he had only one of luke's jumpers on and luke bit his lip to stop the naughty thoughts. he slowly went to the window and closed it before climbing into the bed with calum. he kissed his cheek and wrapped his arms around him.

"hey baby, you feeling okay?" luke whispered when he noticed calum moving and mumbling.

"no. my nose is stuffy and my toes are cold." calum said, sounding like squidward because of his nose. luke cooed and reached down to his blue painted toes and wrapped extra blankets over them.

"i'll tell your mum you aren't feeling well. then i'll get you some groceries and stay home with you and take care of you." luke said softly. calum opened his eyes and smiled small at luke.

"thank you, lukey." calum hummed and went back to sleep. luke nodded and left his room. he went downstairs where mali and his mother were.

"calum isn't feeling well, his window was open all night. i'm going to stay home and take care of him though, don't worry." luke said and mali wiggled her eyebrows at him while joy pulled him into a hug.

"thank you luke. you're so sweet, so much better than daniel. i'm so glad calum has you." she said and luke nodded.

"i'm glad to have him." luke smiled to himself, thinking of how lucky he is to have calum as a boyfriend.

"yeah, well i have to get to work and mali has classes to get to. we'll see you probably later tonight." she said, kissing his cheek and exiting the kitchen, mali following behind with a pat on the back to luke.

luke was pushing his cart around the grocery store, looking for good food for calum. he got soup, crackers, ginger ale, and gummy bears (calum's favorite candy). he wanted to get him some flowers and chocolates though, for when he gets better. he wants to remind calum how much he means to him.

luke goes to the candy isle, looking for a good brand of chocolate to get him when his cart bumps into someone.

"oh, my bad man-" he was cut off when he saw it was daniel he bumped into. he was with some other guys and that girl carly he cheated on calum with. luke frowned and shook his head, quickly grabbing a small heart shaped thing of chocolates and turning his cart around. before he could leave though, his hoodie was pulled back, choking him as he fell to the floor.

"where the fuck do you think you're going? bump into me and don't even have the balls to say sorry, fag." he spat and luke sighed, trying to keep calm as he got up. he couldn't let him temper get to him, he was doing so well with his anger management issues.

but before he could fully get up, he was kicked over again and fell to the floor. he sighed and took deep breaths, trying once again but only to be knocked over again. daniel and his friends laughed which was what did it for luke.

he stood up quickly and launched at daniel, tackling him to the ground. he threw punches at his face and daniel got a few in there as well. but overall, luke was beating his ass.

until he was kicked square in the face by a heel. he fell over and held his nose as blood rushed out of it. he looked up and saw carly helping daniel up. he can't hit a girl, no matter what. it's wrong, even if she does beat his ass. he can't believe she kicked him.
