where luke and calum have been best friends since sceond grade but luke has had feelings for calum since fifth, even though he has a boyfriend.

calum sat quietly and ate his eggs and sausage as mali, tanner, and his mum went on a full debate on where would be the best place to vacation this summer. calum didn't care, as long as it was sunny and had a beach he was fine.
every other summer the hood's go on a vacation and mali always invites tanner and calum always invites luke and joy always invites luke's mum which results in the entire hemmings family coming, which no one has a problem with.
but calum doesn't know why they're planning it in the middle of april, there's still two months left of school.
their debate was interrupted when the doorbell rang.
"who would be at your door on a sunday morning?" tanner asked.
"that would be lucas hemmings, the one and only amazingly talented and beautiful and boyfriend of the gorgeous goddess calum." luke announced as he walked in before anyone could answer it.
calum giggled and ran over to him, hugging him tightly and kissing his cheek.
"hey cal, i got you something." luke said and showed calum a black bag from brandy melville. calum gasped and looked up at luke in surprise.
"what's this?" he asked, opening the bag.
"well, that girl ruined your jeans last night and i know those were your favorite so i got you a new pair." luke said, scratching his growing stubble (that calum definitely thought was so hot). calum smiled wide and kissed luke all over his face while his mother cooed and mali and tanner kept talking.
"thank you so much, luke." calum said and luke shrugged.
"it's no big deal. i think you can repay me with another kiss though." luke said, leaning down so his boyfriend can kiss him.
calum leaned into his ear and whispered softly, "i can think of another way to repay you." then kissed his cheek, leaving luke all hot and bothered. "okay, mum, luke and i are going up to my room."
calum pulled his boyfriend up the stairs and into his room. he put his new jeans on his dresser before walking over to where luke was sitting on the bed. he sat down on his lap, straddling his waist.
luke smirked and grabbed calum's waist before flipping them over so he was on top of calum. he leaned down and captured his lips in a kiss. calum melted into it and allowed luke to lead. unfortunately, his lips left calum's but luckily began kissing down his jaw and neck. he stopped on the middle of his neck, sucking down hard and flicking his tongue over the area. calum threw his head back to give luke more access.
"cal, your mom wants you- oh god." tanner stood wide eyed in the doorway. luke jumped off of calum and stood next to the door, face flushed and breathless. calum sat up with a blush on his cheeks.
"sorry, uh the door wasn't locked and uh, i just-" tanner cut himself off and sighed. "uh, your mom wants you to clean your room before you go anywhere today."
"okay, thanks tanner." calum said, embarrassed that his sister's boyfriend caught him and his boyfriend making out.
tanner nodded and walked out awkwardly. calum looked up at luke and the blond started laughing.
"it's not funny." calum whined.

calum walked to his first period hand in hand with luke. he was wearing his new jeans and a long sleeve crop top.

before they entered the class luke pushed calum onto the wall and kissed him quickly before smiling down at him.
"what was that for?" calum asked.
"i need a reason to kiss my insanely beautiful boyfriend?" luke asked, kissing his cheek once more before grabbing his hand and walking into the classroom.
they sat down in the back in their usual spot and calum went on his phone while luke drew patterns on calum's hand and talked to his friends.
the peace in the room was interrupted when the sound of heels clicking on the floor filled the room. calum looked up and gaped when he saw the same girl who spilled yogurt on his jeans walking into the classroom. luke seemed to notice as well because he frowned and gripped calum's hand tighter.
"lukey! oh my gosh, i was not expecting to see you here!" she squealed and calum rolled his eyes as she sat down in front of luke.
"uh yeah, me neither." luke smiled.
"wow, that's so cool. i thought i was going to be alone but i can just hang out with you." she said and calum looked at luke in disbelief when he nodded.
"yeah, so cool." he nodded and she giggled. the bell rang and calum was still glaring at luke who gave him a shrug.

"can you believe that horse looking hoe had the audacity to tell my boyfriend that she was going to hand out with him?" calum ranted to ashton and michael. they were saying down at their table at lunch, waiting for luke to get there.
"yeah, we saw her in the hallway before second period and she was literally following ashton around. she thinks they're besties since he held the door open for her." michael said, smiling at ashton when he tightened his grip on michael's waist.
"god, who does she think she i-" calum stopped talking and began gaping at the sight behind his friends. it was luke walking up to them but there was arzaylea hooked onto his arm.
"what the hell?" michael whispered. they came over to the table and luke pushed the girl off of him.
"hey cal, uh arzaylea wants to sit with us. that okay?" luke asked.
"um no, there's not enough space." calum shrugged and pulled luke down to sit with him.
"oh, i can just squeeze in next to luke." she said, pushing him and making calum pretty much fall off of the seat. calum took a deep breath so he wouldn't go off on her.
"uh, cal, why don't you sit over here." ashton said, making room for him. calum just frowned and nodded, sitting next to ashton. he felt like he wanted to cry when he saw luke laugh at something arzaylea said.
he felt tears pooling as michael reached over ashton and put a comforting hand on his knee.
