I was spending my Friday night the way I liked it. With music and movies, literally my two favourite things.
That was until my phone buzzed. Chandler. My friend from high school. I guess we hadn't seen each other in a while.
"Hello?"
"Hi Y/N you busy?"
Quick make your life sound a little interesting!
"I was just having some drinks with my college mates but they've gone now"
"Oh right, can I stop by your house?"
"Uh- yeah sure" I blabbed forgetting the state I was in. Wrapped in a blanket with my pyjamas on and messy hair.
"Okay I'm on my way"
I jumped up quickly getting dressed and putting my hair up into a ponytail.
No less than 15 minutes later my front door bell rang. Chandler stood his eyes red and a forced smile plastered on his face.
"What's up?" I pulled him into a hug.
"Its a long story"
"Well we have time" he chuckled and looked down at his feet.
"Can we go for a walk?" His eyes glowed straight into mine.
"Course" I said grabbing my keys and a jacket.
Outside it was already dark. Chandler reluctantly told me about how his friends had left him after his girlfriend dumped him because they thought he was weak. So he's been left on his own.
We spoke about everything until we made it to the empty park. In high school Chandler and I used to sneak out at night and meet here, we were never a thing though. It was just our place to have fun!
As we arrived I ran straight to two lonely swings that stood in the dark. As I sat down I looked back to see chandler chuckling at my wide grin. He came and sat on the other swing.
"I've missed you Y/N. Everything's changed since high school"
"That's life chan, though seeing you once or twice would've been nice"
"Yeah, sorry. I've been piled up"
We sat in silence for a while.
"Its been a while eh?" I said giving him a weak smile.
"Yeah, I've been asked to do an acting job. Not sure how it'll go"
"Where?"
"America"
"Wow and I though Manchester was far"
"Yeah, it'll be weird on my own"
"I bet you'll love it though"
Chandler nodded and stared at his feet.
"Y/N?"
"What?"
"Come with me"
"What!?"
"Come with me... To America"
"I dunno"
"You still have your gap year before uni, right?"
"Yeah but-"
"Then come with me"
"I can't just leave everything"
"I can't leave you, not again"
I stood up and rubbed my neck.
"Y/N" he stood up and walked towards me. "I want you to come because I love you, Y/N. I have since I met you"
"I... chan-"
Before I could even speak he cut me off.
"I get it, you don't feel the same... Right?"
"No I do, really I do but I dunno about America"
"Please Y/N please"
I felt a tear rolling down my face. I buried my head into his chest.
"I love you chandler" I stammered.
He lifted up my head and kissed my lips. I kissed back. Snaking my arms around his neck and his round my waist. He tilted his for head on mine.
"So? Will you come?"
I laughed and replied
"Of course"
He grabbed me and I wrapped my legs round his waist screaming as he spun me around. We spent the whole night at the park talking.
"Y/N, I'm glad my friends left me. Because if they hadn't I wouldn't have come to see you"
