It was finally here, the day I'd waited for all my life. I'd spent three months waiting for this to come around and at last the record label had signed me!

Today I was recording my first song and my best friend Hanna was coming to watch, along with my boyfriend of two years Chandler. Problem was Chan acted on the walking dead and had loads of places to be. So his presence wasn't secured.

I sat in the hotel room with Hanna. My hands and feet trembled. Straight after the first day of recording I'd be heading to a photo shoot and had to be partly ready before hand. Hanna was doing my make up perfectly for me and I just sat watching the clock.

"The taxi will be here soon" I said trying not to sound nervous.
Hanna turned to face the clock.
"Oh yeah" she sounded so calm. "We better grab your bag. You put on you shoes"

I nodded and slipped on my black ankle boots as she disappeared into the other room to get my bag.
I took a deep breath and met Hanna at the door my bag held in her hand. She passed it to me and I put it on my shoulder.

We took the elevator down to the ground floor. One last time I checked my phone for any messages, but the only one was from Uber saying that my ride was here.
"Great" I said sarcastically showing my friend the screen.

We pushed out of the glass doors and got into the car. I took out my phone and rang the number that I had tried time and time again.

Answer phone.

I left a message.
"Chan. I can't wait any longer I'm sorry. If you want to be here it has to be soon, I need you here. This is big for me and it's so much easier with you. I need your full support like I gave you, because I lo-"

The beep cut me off and I sighed.
I put it on silent as we pulled up to the studio.
"Don't worry you'll be amazing as ever" Hanna grabbed my hand before releasing me out of the door.

Then before I knew it I was in the booth. I checked my phone one last time before the music began playing and all it said was.
I'm sorry
My heart broke. He hasn't even tried.

The music started. I trembled as I sang. Started over and over.
Then one song, felt right.

I closed my eyes and embraced the music feeling love seeping through the lyrics off my lips.
I sang the last note and opened my eyes.

There sat three people with gaping mouths. The technician. Hanna. And chandler. He smirked when I saw him.

I ran out of the booth straight into his open arms. Tears began rolling down my cheeks. I looked up to see him doing the same.

"Its been too long" he said laughing.
"I love you" that's all I could muster.
"So much"

I put my lips on his, the two of us moving in a passionate rhythm. I held his waist and all I wanted was this. I'd done so well only when he was here. And I hadn't even known it. He was my lucky charm.
