"And this , y/n , is a big deal. So please try not to embarrass me in front of everyone. It's bad enough you did that to your hair." I just rolled my eyes, the blonde strands of hair he'd been referring to falling past my shoulders where it had once been jet black.
"You look like her you know..."
"Dad. I don't care, if you're going to cry then wait till this is over okay. I didn't dye my hair to look like mum." I was lying, that was the only reason I'd done it. I knew it wasn't really my colour, but that didn't matter to me.
"At least talk to people this time, don't just hide out in the bathrooms."
"Okay."
"This is the company party. So don't be a mess either. Have some dignity."
I got out the car, and walked behind my father up the marble steps. The whole venue was buzzing with people, everyone of them dressed head to toe in designer outfits and with phones plastered to their hands as they took pictures together. I got immediate flashbacks to my middle school formal and felt sick to the stomach.
I pulled down the black dress I'd put on and looked out into the main ballroom where hoards of guests were already partying. Almost as soon as we got inside my father stopped and turned to me.
"I'm going to talk to my boss, have a good night. See you tomorrow, don't be awkward." And left. I scoffed, if only he knew the truth. About what I get up to when he sweet talking businessmen all night long.
I headed for the toilets, greeted by the smirk of the girl at the door. There was always someone keeping a look out for us, ready to make up some bogus lie about the bathrooms being out of order and there being others on the other side of the building. I flashed my tattoo that was hidden under the side of my bra and she opened the door for me.
"Y/N!! Thank god you're here" Rina gasped and looked up from the mirror where she'd been applying more makeup. A look of shock and horror covered her face.
"Shut up." I said, and sat down on the counter in front of her.
"I like it." She took my hair into her hands.
"No you don't."
"No. I don't." I sighed and slumped against the wall.
"I look like a cock don't I?" I asked.
"No, you just need to style it better. Friz, isn't anyone's style no matter how hard they try."
"Help me Ri!" I begged and pouted.
"Fine. Wait here." Her long nails clicked against her phone screen as she typed in a number. "Yes it's me. Yes I know what time it is, we have an emergency. It's y/n. She's gone blonde. 5 minutes? Sounds great. Oh! And bring your straighteners too!"
-
It had only been 15 minutes but my hair looked about ten times better. I finished doing some proper makeup, instead of the half assed shit I'd done to please my dad and kissed the mirror leaving behind a bright red lipstick mark.
"The others are outside, you ready?" Rina asked , pushing up her boobs and hiking up her dress.
"Yeah, lets go."

We snuck out the back door, managing to smuggle a bottle of something from the kitchen as we passed by. Tiffany met us in the back alley, also dressed up like the rest of us and we walked towards the street.
The car was already running when we got close and the drivers window was rolled down.
"Finally, god we thought you'd been taken." Brandon said, revving the engine. Rina leant in through the window and kissed his cheek.
"You guys are so impatient." She said and jumped in the back.
Chandler was in the back smoking and laughed at Tiff as she practically threw herself into the front seat before anyone else.
"Oh you're looking smart." I teased him as he pulled off his tie.
"Shut up, you hate these things as much as the rest of us." He said and pulled me close to his side. I took the cigarette from his lips and took a deep inhale, blowing the smoke out as I threw my head back. I leant over to him and kissed his lips, the taste of nicotine evident on both of our mouths.
