My best friend had organised it all. And I couldn't thank her enough!!!! She joined our school nearly a year ago and now with only 2 days left of our school holiday her incredible parents had agreed to a camp out in her garden. They had also agreed to spend the weekend away as long as the garden wasn't a mess when they returned.
I pulled up to Nina's house and was instantly greeted by a couple of friends. They lead me round to the back of the house and my best friend ran straight into my arms.
"I've missed you." She squealed.
"You too!" I went round making sure that i'd said hi to everyone. There was only about 10 of us so it was pretty easy. I was just starting my first beer when Nina called me over.
"Y/N!!!!" i excused myself and ran over.
"What is it?" I took a swig of beer.
"I forgot to tell you, Chandler, a friend from my old school is coming."
"Andddd?"
"And he's been asking to meet you ever since he saw the pic of us on my lock screen."
"That is a good picture."
"So, you have to pull him."
"no way, I don't even know him."
About an hour later and, me being the fucking lightweight I am, was already pretty drunk off my face! Most of my other friends were tipsy too, but I was the worst by a way. Nina ran up to me her phone up to her ear talking to someone on the other end.
"Y/N, Chandlers on his way." She awfully whispered to me forgetting to cover the receiver so he could still hear what she'd said to me.
"Why are you so obsessed?" I laughed.
"You still have to get on him, pleeeeaaasssseee." She was whining. I sighed and she giggled.
"Oh, I need you to collect him from the drive in about 20 minutes."
"Fine." I hesitated to agree but I did it to help her out.
I grabbed another beer, which probably wasn't a good idea, and waited out the front of the house. After a couple of minutes or so, a silver car pulled up outside the house. Out jumped a boy about my age, with dark brown hair. I could feel my jaw slowly falling off! He. Was. Hot.
I gulped as he got closer to me.
"You're y/n right?" He asked, but I found it hard to speak.
I laughed, pulling him into an awkward hug.
"That's me!"
"I'm chandler. Nina's told me a lot about you."
"Oh god!"
"No no all good things."
"Great! Well speaking of Nina, she can't wait to see you."
I pulled him by the arm and lead him round the back. Almost instantly disappearing out of sight to cringe at myself. I was slowly sobering up and was feeling the consequences of drinking pretty soon.
Nina had a big torch set up in the middle of a circle of chairs and sofa cushions. She called everyone over as we were all pretty sober now! Still though, I grabbed another beer and took a seat on the garden sofa thing.
Chandler walked up to the circle after chatting with Nina.
"Hey y/n got room for another?"
He smiled sweetly and I made room for him next to me. It was tight but still, having him close to me made me like him even more.
We laughed around for a while, and we spent the rest of the night hanging out together. I didn't seem to realise that he'd put his arm around my shoulders and I just snuggled into his sides. I must've fallen asleep cos when I woke up everyone had either passed out around the garden or had gone to the tent. I looked up to see chandler still hugging me and he was fast asleep too.
When I laughed at his cute face he woke and groaned.
"morning" he mumbled still holding me.
"you could've pushed me off you last night you know. You didn't have to stay."
"Well I didn't wanna wake you, and you looked cute sleeping."
"I wasn't the only one!"
He blushed.
"I like you y/n." He smiled and kissed my head. "really I do."
