I held my guitar like I did everyday. The chords strumming gently and echoing around the empty music room. My uncle had been nice enough to let me practice at his studio as long as no one else needed it. Chris owned a big recording label and said he'd sign me one day but wanted me to do well with my school work first in case it didn't work out.

I started singing the words to one of my songs, its the one thing I truly enjoy. Music. I let the words fall gently until I heard the door being pulled open. I recognised the boy once he stepped inside.

"Hi y/n" he waved and placed down his bag. I picked up my guitar surprised he knew my name.
"Oh uh, I'm sorry I thought no one else was going to be here."
I headed to the door but he called me before I could even place my hand on the handle.
"Stay, I liked what you were playing"
"Thank you"
"Will you stay?"
"Umm... Okay then"
"I'm chandler by the way."
"I know. Well I mean only because everyone here knows."
"And you are Chris' niece."
"There is that"

I awkwardly took a seat out of the way and let him set up. After a while the silence got all too much and I started strumming again.

"What were you singing?"
I stopped when he spoke.
"Sorry?"
"Before I came in, I heard you singing"
"Oh right, that's just something I wrote"
"It was really good."
"Thank you."

I carried on, coming to the conclusion that he wasn't too annoyed by it.

"How come you aren't signed yet? I mean Chris could start you off right now!"
"He wants me to focus on school for the moment. But after my exams I'll have loads of time for music."
"He's clever, I wish someone had told me that"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I'm only a year older than you. If I hadn't have started music instead of school then I could have a decent paying job, something to fall back on. But now I have nothing if this fails. I'm constantly working hard to stay on top in fear of failing."
"Chandler you're amazing, there's no way you'll fail"
"Its competitive , hard to keep places"
"Not that easy huh?"
"No way!"

I continued playing.

"Sing for me y/n"
"What!"
"You have a relaxing voice. Nothing compared to my style of music. I need something to calm me"

I gulped and began singing my song. The only thing I could think of at that point in time! The words echoed but the room didn't feel as lonely with chandler here. For once I had someone listening and from what I could tell he seemed to be enjoying it.

My phone rang and he jumped at the sudden noise.
"Sorry." I said. And picked up.

"Hello y/n?"
"Chris?"
"You done in the music room?"
"I can be yeah why?"
"There's a guy here wants to talk about a possible collaboration!"
"But what about the promise."
"It's down to you but I want you to know that I can believe you can do this okay?"
"Okay!"
"Right well hurry to the studio he'll be here soon!"
"Bye"

I picked up my guitar and ran to the door.
"Where are you going?"
Chandler asked sad that I hadn't carried on.
"My uncle could have a collaboration deal for me!" I squealed too excited to keep secrets.
"So you're the mystery girl my manager won't tell me about"

I blushed and smiled before running off. Chandler! Its chandler.
