Bonus Scene
(Luna's POV)
Five months earlier...
It was a hot summer day and Luna needed to cool off. It was the beginning of June, and the sun shone brightly as the heat seeped into her skin. Luna was sitting in a lounge chair in her backyard, wearing a blue bikini along with a pair of sunglasses.
A noise from the screen door made her turn her head to see Logan, her boyfriend, step out onto the patio. He was wearing light green swim trunks that reflected the sunlight. His eyes flashed blue, and her heart sunk.
Logan wasn't even a blue when they first started dating, and a few weeks ago he revealed that he had recently been bitten by his friend, who was of course, a blue. His family was a blue and strangely enough he was born without the werewolf genes. When he told her, Luna wasn't sure if they could still date without her parents finding out. And now that every time his eyes flashed, it was just a reminder to her that they were different in kinds. It was sort of like Romeo and Juliet.
I'm the only one in my family who knows about him being a blue. She thought sadly.
"Hey, babe?" he asked, "Did you move my towel?"
Luna shook her head. "Why?"
Logan didn't reply, but instead cursed under his breath before taking out his phone. He put it to his ear and waited.
"Hey, did I leave my towel there?"
There was a pause. He sighed with frustration, running his hand through his dark brown hair. "I'll come over and-"
Another pause. "No, you don't have to do that, Mom. I left it over there and it's my responsibility."
Luna got up from her chair and brushed past him, going inside for a drink. Her father was sitting in the kitchen, working on his laptop, as usual. He looked up from his screen and his grey eyes narrowed.
"Go and get changed. We'll be training in a little bit." He told her before focusing on his work once more.
"But I'm spending time with Logan," she protested, "I can't always waste my day preparing for someone to attack me."
Her father just gave her a long look, and it sent a chill down her spine. He didn't always have to use words to convince her. Luna glared back and huffed.
"Fine."
She sighed. Ever since she became the leader of the reds, her father became more aware of what danger she was in and decided she needed more training to defend herself.
Luna walked in her room and quickly changed into a pair of shorts and a black crop top. She then put her hair into a pony tail and went back into the kitchen, running into Logan.
"I have to go," she told him, "training." She whispered so her father wouldn't hear.
Logan nodded, kissing her cheek. "Tomorrow at Nice Cream?"
Luna smiled. "Sure."
After he left, her father came up from behind her. "Let's go."

The woods beamed with life as she and her father walked in silence. The birds chirped and the leaves that hung from the trees swished in the summer breeze. The squirrels ran up and down the tall trees and the rabbits burrowed in the ground as they walked by. Luna gazed at her father suspiciously as they kept walking, and she grew tense. They never walked this far in the forest before, and something told her that this wasn't going to be like any other training day.
