Sky

"You guys could probably stay with us till we can get you home" harlie smiled dragging Emma with her, to our house. I silently walk with sparrow. She seemed.... Aware. She was super tense, and flinched at everything that moved. But I guess that was just because she had never seen this place.

"So, do you want anything to eat?" I ask as we enter the house. Emma and harlie are gone, harlies probably showing Emma every inch of the house. I swear if they go near my room I will- "gorzag please" sparrow said. Her voice was soft and cracked, as if she was screaming for hours straight. "I have no idea what that is, so how about a cookie" I grin handing her one. She reluctantly takes a bite.

She immediately starts coughing it up and gagging, scratching at her throat.

Emma

I was looking at sky's axe that was hanging on her wall when I heard my sister scream. I run down the hallway. "Spar!" I scream running to her. Sky seemed to be trying to chock her stomach?

Sparrow coughs up something, and takes in a deep breath.
"I'm sorry, I gave her a cookie. I thought she could eat it! I'm so sorry" sky says, looking like she might cry. "It's, ok. No ones mad at you" harlie hugs her. Sky buries her head in harlies shoulder.

"What's a cookie?" I ask. Sky lifts her head up. "It's like a cooked dough ball with chocolate chips in it, I guess?" She explains. "I have no idea what that is" I frown. "Can you guys even eat human food?" Harlie questions. "Don't know till you try" I shrug my shoulders. Sky hesitantly gives me a glass full of some orange kind of liquid. "It's orange juice" she mumbles. I bring it to my mouth. I scream as the liquid burns my lip, and throw it. There dog quickly runs past me and drinks up all the orange juice that I spilled. "Uh... Wow, you managed to break a non breakable cup" harlie says picking up the now two piece of the cup off the floor. "We should sue the people that made that cup, they lied to us!!" Sky says in a over dramatic voice.

Sky

"Well, what can you eat?" Harlie asks. "Oh, we can eat waglabo!" Sparrow shouts. "What the heck is that!!??" I shout rolling my eyes. "Well it has paper-" "wait I'm grabbing the stuff!" I shout grabbing a bowl and dumping a pile of paper in. "And wild flowers" "harlie!" I shout. She runs out the door to grab a handful of flowers "and wood, rocks, grass, gasoline, dirt, water, and leaves" sparrow lists.

"Ok, so now what?" I ask as I finish mixing up the 'food' "now cook it for 20 minutes at 100F"
I put the waglabo in the oven.

As you might have guessed it. It exploded... But apparently it was supposed to do that. Still, that can't be good for the oven.

I took it out, and it didn't look as bad as I thought it would. It looked like some muddy soup. Sparrow and Emma started eating it. I grabbed a spoonful and brought it to my lips. "No don't!" Harlie yelled.

I puked. "That was a bad idea!!" I gagged trying to get the dirt and gas taste out of my mouth.
Then mom came in. "Who are these people?!" She asked in a annoyed tone. "Mom, it was my fault. These are my friends from school, their lost, far from home, could they stay here till we're able to find them a home?" Harlie asks, sadness in her voice. "Well..sure, but they have to sleep in your rooms" she states. "Kay" we both say at the same time. After they finish eating we head to our rooms to work out the sleeping arrangements.

"Sparrow can sleep in my room if she wants, since I don't trust Emma or harlie near my stuff." Sparrow nods her head, grinning. We head back to the kitchen, when the front door is opened by Sam.

Sam

I stare at the strangers in our house. One has bright pink hair, and... Almost unnatural looking skin, she was wearing a long pink dress and pink flats. The other was a bit shorter then the first one. She had shaggy brown hair, weird yellow eyes, which I assume was just contacts. She wore a brown shirt and black jeans, with dark green army boots. I walk up to my sisters. Sky still scares me a little, "Harlie, who are these people?" I ask looking at the yellow eyed girl. "This is Emma, and sparrow, they will be staying here for a while. Sparrow and Emma, this my brother, sam" "hi Sam!!" Emma squeals.

Sky

Emma glows a bright pink and I quickly pull Sam away before he noticed. "Hey Sam, mom said she needed to talk to you about something" I lie. He races down the hall to where moms bedroom is.

"Ok, so first step, let's get your power under control" I sigh. "What do you mean?" Emma asks. "Well, turning different colours isn't exactly normal." Harlie laughs. "Ok, so just try to control your emotions" I smile.

"Yah, that will be easy" sparrow rolls her eyes. "Emma is an emotion machine" she laughs.

"Wait, wait wait, hold the phone!" I shout. "Holding the phone!" Harlie shouts holding up her phone (this happened with me and my friend, so I just had to put it in.)
"What's your power" I say calmly, pointing at spar. (Her name will forever be spar...sparrow takes to long to spell)

"Oh, I talk to animals..." "What!!!!!!!!!! Talk to our dog!!" Harlie shouts dragging Lilly towards her.

Sparrow (deal with it 😎)

"I'm lily" the dog (barks?) "hi, I'm sparrow" I greet. "Wow, you can understand me! Humans are really stupid. You must be smarter then the other humans." "Well..yah" I smile.

"What did he say!?" Harlie asks. "Well, he said that humans are really stupid, and that I'm smarter then all of you" I state. "Called it!" Sky yells. Mumbling, Harlie pulls a green paper object out of her pocket and gave it to sky. "This is the best five dollars I ever earned" sky grins.

Sky

"Let's get to bed, it's getting kinda late" Harlie says.

Since I have a bunk bed in my room, sparrow sleeps on the top and I sleep on the bottom.
I always pick the bottom, every since harlie tried to drag me out of of bed, from the top bunk.

Harlie (again..deal with it 😎)

"So.. What's up with sky?" Emma asks enthusiastically. "Well.. It's easy to get on her bad side, but she can forgive people pretty easily. What about sparrow?" I explain/ask. "Well, she's pretty quiet, especially since.... But once you get to know her, she can be pretty friendly." She laughs.

(Next day)

Sky

"Sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!! sky!!!" Harlie, sparrow and Emma yell at the same time.

We all get ready and head to school. Luckily since it's a small town the high school and middle school are combined so Sparrow and Emma join us.

Sometimes we walk and sometimes we take the bus, we felt like walking today.

1296 words. I'm pretty proud of myself :)
