Skittles: Bobby the pigeon

Bobby's pov

 I watched the mall from my perch on the building where whinny people come  and complain about their teeth. Not sure what the building is called so a description better be enough. Anyways I watched the mall as there is a food court in it. Meaning some people buy food to eat at the picnic benches outside. Sometimes children, sometimes clumsy children. Or I could just say I'm waiting for food. I see a girl with oddly coloured hair drop a few fries while walking to the benches with some other humans her age and one that appeared older. I swoop in as speed is everything when crows are stronger and sometimes deadly. Plus I'm a tad bit lazy and I don't want my flock to get any. I'm a little odd and sometimes I don't stay with the flock.

 The fries were wonderful as my mate would say, she's quite fond of that word. As I gulp down the last fry my friend Kino lands next to me.

 "Hey dude! Did you find anything?" he asked.

 "Yeah I had some epic fries!" I nodded my head as humans do as well.

 "And you didn't give me any?" My mate landed, she looked really upset with me.

 "I'm really sorry, I.." I try to explain.

 
"Don't even try to explain. It doesn't matter you know my strength isn't that important with mating season coming up. We just have to hope the babies will make it." she saws in an eerily calm voice.

 "Next time, I promise," I beg.

 "Well okay," she began to look happier.

 She flew off. What a beauty.

 "Mates," Kino states.

"Yep," I nod.

 I fly closer to the girl with the coloured hair who is good at dropping stuff. The one girl gives me a look and says she 's going to the bathroom but instead hides behind a car. I follow as this is a strange and unique occurrence. I land on the ground not knowing what was going on.

 "So to simplify I'm a wizard and can understand you and I want to make a deal," she says quickly.

 I start to worry. In the lore us pigeons pass on wizards used to make deals with us that ended in our demise. I don't know, times could have changed.

 "What is the deal?" I ask.

 "You and your flock attack the older human and each one of you gets a box of fries," she offers.

"Yes!" I just can't refuse.

Within 20 minutes all 19 of us are ready for this war. We swoop in pecking him and clawing him and slapping him with our wings and don't forget head-butting him. We didn't do too much damage as she didn't wish death upon him or any too bad injuries. The attack lasted for about ten minutes. Then we left him be for twenty minutes to make him think it was over before we swooped in and attacked him for five more minutes. It was quite funny for everyone, okay maybe not him. Then we all got fries. What a lovely day. 

Sparrow's pov

 After a fun trip to the mall we return home and discuss how we feel about Edward. That is until Edward who looked very worried burst in and asked for help and led us to Lucy's room. I heard a soft buzzing sound which was strange.

 Edward opened the door. What I saw shocked me, Lucy was levitating slightly and surrounded in bright blue light things were being blasted around the room. I had assumed she hadn't any magical abilities. I guess I was wrong.

 This was  little like what had happened to Emma recently other than her power hadn't been withheld she was just mad. No this was way worse. Lucy was actually causing more harm to herself since she was still withholding it. If she didn't let go and let everything out or calm down her brains could be splattered on the walls. We had to do something and quick. Harlie tried to calm her it was no use. Sky screamed for Harold.

 He quickly rushes into the room.

 "Okay I'll try  to get her to either let the power out or calm down. If she lets it out there will be an explosion that will kill me and do a lot of damage but she'll be fine. Or if we're lucky I can calm her down. So everyone needs to get out of the house since the explosion could be large." he explains.

 Sky and Harlie hug him tight and then we rush to get everyone out. I grab Lily and we find their mum, since Sam is at Elizabeth's.

 "Mum we need to leave the house but I'll explain outside," Harlie states.

 Her mum nods and we rush outside.

 "Okay so an explanation would be great," her mum questions.

 "Lucy's power is trying to get out. Dad is trying to get her to either let it out saving herself but killing him or calm her down which would save her and not kill him, so she doesn't die from the power," Harlie explains as we now know that she knows.

 "Oh my," she lets out a sob.

 We watch while we huddle for support. Harlie's mum hasn't stopped crying and though Harlie looks like she almost is she is obviously staying strong for her mum. Sky is crossing her fingers hoping. Emma is holding Lily back but having difficulty. Suddenly Lily pulls free from Emma. I don't know why but we all sensed to follow. As we entered the room we saw that her dad had made no difference and she looked like we really had to hurry.

 Suddenly Lily rushed forwards. She grabbed at Lucy's pants pulling her to her knees. She had somehow managed to pass the barrier that her dad had not been able to, so she could actually get closer. She nuzzled Lucy's leg  and then touched her hand with her nose. Suddenly Lucy moved her hand petting Lily. The barrier began to disappear as Lucy hugged Lily. Probably the sweetest most amazing thing I've ever seen.

 We all hugged her.

 "I'll teach you all I know," he dad hugged her tight.

 She was alright. Lucy would be alright.
