Once we arrived, I went upstairs and took a shower. Once I was finished, I put on my outfit and lipstick and went downstairs. As I was going into the music room, I heard Edna talking to Chase. I was expecting it to be good, but it turned out to be rude.

"Uhhh.."

"Is there something wrong?"

"Yes, there's a lot wrong."

"Like what?"

"You."

"Well, that's general yet not specific."

"You're not what I imagined you'd be."

"Like what?"

"Your hair, your lip ring, your appearance, and..." she paused, "...and that."

I can't believe Edna is doing this. She's judging him before even getting to know him.

"And who are you to judge?"

"I'm sorry I'm not one to judge, but I can already tell you're trouble for Harper. I suggest you leave with a lie and never talk to her again."

I walked in and interrupted.

"Edna, may I speak to you?"

We walked out of the room.

"Thanks goodness. I need to talk to you about that kid. He's..."

"He's what?!"

"Woah, miss calm down."

"No I can't calm down Edna. You told me you never judge people that's why I chose you, but here you are judging my best friend."

"Look, miss, he's...he's..."

"He's what?!"

"He's a freak."

I began to get so frustrated.

"How?!"

"Look at him. He's broken, he has you know...he has cuts."

"So people who cut are freaks?!"

"Yes, every single one of them are freaks."

"Every single one?!"

"Yes."

I lifted up my sleeve.

"So I guess I'm a freak."

She looked at my scars in awe.

"Harper, I'm..."

"No, you shouldn't judge so quickly. You don't know why or what they're going through."

"Harper, I didn't..." she began to tear up.

"Yeah, you didn't know."

"Harper, please..."

"No, I'm sorry, but I have to go to my friend."
