"Im glad you're spending sometime with Niall. Its great you two get along so well. Seems like you're really connecting." I chuckled.
"You have no idea. But you're making me do this. You remember that part right?" My mother squeezed my shoulders.
"I don't see whats wrong with hanging out with Niall. He's nice," she said.
"Too nice," I mumbled. She looked at me confused. "Nothing mom." She smiled.
"Good, because he's probably down stairs." She grabbed my hand dragging me excitedly.
"Mom you're not even the one getting picked up!"
"Whatever Grace!"
"Where are we even going," I asked trying not to tumble down the stairs.
"Don't worry about it." I looked out the window to see Niall waiting in his car. "Have fun,and be nice," my mom said kissing my cheek.
"I'll try." And then I walked out. It was hot so I wore a cute purple sundress with sandals, shades and my hair in a high pony-tail.
I climbed into the passenger seat a bit pessimistically. "So where are we headed," I asked strapping myself in.
"Well hello to you too."
I couldn't figure out why I was so upset about being with him, but I was.
"Is your dad making you do this?"
"I accidentally suggested it, he enforced it, so technically yes. But I love being with you." I blushed a little then snapped out of it.
"But really, where are we going?" He beamed pulling off.
"Its a surprise. I smiled.
"Fine." He turned up the radio and started to purposely sing terribly.
"Oh gosh," I exclaimed playfully covering my ears. He leaned over pulling one of my hands from my ear and trying to sing into it while driving.
I laughed trying to pull away from him until he finally gave up. Then I stuck my tongue out.
"You're lucky Im driving and I actually care about your life."
"How touching" I teased. He focused back on the rode as it got busier. I fell asleep smiling and leaning against the side of the door.
When I woke up you were in the the very bright Manhattan, NYC. I jumped up excitedly looking out the window.
"We're almost there," Niall said.
In a couple of minutes we found ourselves at the Empire State Building.
"Thats a pretty wide smile for a girl who didn't wanna see me today." I snapped my head at Niall wondering how he knew that. "Im not stupid."
"Niall Im s-"
"Its ok. I don't blame you." I looked away as Niall parked. "Cmon, and cheer up! I promise you Im not offended." I pulled on my best smile but it was weak. I felt terrible.
He grabbed my hand pulling me towards the entrance. We went through all of the procedures to go in until we were finally at the top. Surprisingly, there weren't many people.
I rushed over to the edge looking down at all the honking cars and now tiny people. Niall casually walked over looking over as well.
"Nice view," he said. When I looked up at him I realized he was looking at me. I blushed again trying to hide my face by looking down.
He grinned. "Don't be shy."
I spent the rest of the afternoon smiling, giggling and really enjoying myself. He even took me out to dinner afterwards. It kinda felt like a date. After dinner we walked around Times Square looking at all the lights and cool broadway billboards. Yeah. It was the perfect date.
