Louder~12

The entire lunch was incredibly awkward. Niall leaned into me more than usual as we sat so I knew he was uncomfortable. For once in maybe her entire life Haley barely spoke. It was so unlike her. I never would've thought her loud personality had an off switch.

"What are you up to now," I asked Niall asked after the three of us walked outside the restaurant.

"I don't know." I hadn't planned anything for today. Pathetic as it sounds, I had planned on doing whatever Niall was doing.

"I was just gonna hang out with with my two friends Zayn and Liam tonight." After a moment of him not inviting me to come along I was little hurt & I guess he sensed it.

"Did you wanna come? We're headed to some spot Zayn suggested that just opened up. I think its called Louder." I raised my eyebrow at him.

"You were gonna party tonight without inviting or telling me," I asked.

"Protective much?" He teased.

I looked over at Haley hoping she wouldn't mind my going. She smiled warmly, motioning for me to go with him.

"Let me just drop Haley off and I'll call you." He nodded, kissing me softly before climbing into his car and driving away. My best friend grinned the moment he was gone and I knew she was back to being herself.

"Did you like him," I asked once we were in the car.

"Niall? Of course."

"Then what was that? I didn't think it was possible you could ever be so quiet." She nudged me.

"I wasn't quiet I was observant." I rolled my eyes still focused on the road. "Im really happy for you," she said and I smiled.

"Thank you."

After dropping Haley off I went straight home to rest & plan for tonight. Id be meeting his friends. "Zayn and Liam," he had said. I couldn't remember him mentioning them to me before.

Another thing that had crossed my mind was how would he introduce me. Haley was the only other person who knew about our secret. It wouldn't make sense for him to introduce me as his girlfriend if in a few months that wouldn't be true. Unfortunately.

Yet if he were to introduce me as a friend Id be offended. Maybe he had told them. Nah...then again, I didn't know how close he was to them. My head felt like it was spinning.

I decided to wear my black leather skirt with patterned black tights with my favorite crop top. By the time I did my nails & curled my hair it was already 8:00. I hated how common lying was becoming, but I told my mom I was going to a party with Haley.

"You look gorgeous," Niall complimented as he held his car door open for me. I blushed climbing in and he walked around to the drivers seat. Before starting the car up Niall sat just staring at me adoringly until I turned away, my cheeks crimson.

"God Niall stop!" He laughed amused at how much power his gaze held. No matter how long we were together, my heart still skipped a beat whenever he stared or kissed me.I wondered if he felt the same....

"Remember our first party," Niall asked on the way there. My mind traveled back to that time. Back when I was confused about how I felt yet I knew I liked him. I guess some things never change.

"Niall?"

"Grace?"

"I love you." I meant every word but my voice didn't portray that. He grabbed my hand squeezing it.

"I love you more."

The outside of "Louder" was cluttered. There seemed to be a long line of people and Niall noticed my worried expression as he parked.

"Don't worry. We can go right in." We walked towards the entrance. "Thats Liam over there," he said pointing.

I guess thats kind of how it all started.
