*Last call on breakfast.* Niall texted me. *Liam canceled, if it makes a difference.* It made a huge difference. A gigantic difference.

*Where?* I texted back.

*IHOP*

*I'll meet you there* I rolled out of bed half asleep but glad that my mother was gone so I wouldn't have to explain where I was going. After I showered, I put on a pair of black leggings and black shirt with my hair in a bun. Niall couldn't really expect me to look as great as I usually do. It was ten o' clock in the morning.

My car took forever to start up. I probably needed a new one.

*Are you busy?" Haley texted me. Once I got to a red light I quickly texted her back.

*Im driving, but Im on my way to meet up with Niall and his friend for breakfast. You can come if you want.*

*No thanks* I tucked my phone back into my purse slightly disappointed by her response.

I still hadn't processed Liam's words from the night before. I wished I could just ask someone. Zayn maybe...but why would he know. What was I even trying to figure out?

I pulled into the parking lot of IHOP scanning the lot for Niall's car. When I didn't see it or him I sat back and shut my eyes.

What was I doing? Id been trying to not think about me and Niall eventually being forced to split but this was one of those moments when I couldn't help it. I couldn't help but think about how I was setting myself up for heartbreak, and how much easier things would be if we ended things now.

A hard knock on the window snapped me out of my thoughts, my eyes immediately widening, but it was just Niall. I opened my car door and he held my hand, helping me out of the car.

"Didn't get enough beauty sleep last night princess?" He teased.

Honestly, I hadn't really slept. I was too busy thinking about how we'd break up, the wedding and Liam. I knew the whole Liam thing was really stupid to stress over, because I didn't even know him.

"Grace?"

"What?"

"You seem...distracted. Are you ok?"

No Im not ok. Im too busy stressing over how we'll have to break up but we're acting like nothings wrong. Lets not forget about your suspicious "friend" who Im glad isn't here today.

"Im fine." We continued walking inside and it was surprising empty considering it was Sunday.

"How many?" The waitress asked.

"We're meeting someone," Niall answered. "I think it's under Zayn." She looked down at her notebook then nodded, leading us toward the table.

Liam. Liam was sitting at the table with that same, stupid grin. I hadn't realized that I had stopped walking until I felt Niall gently tugging on me. I was pretty sure a few people were staring including the waitress.

What was he doing here? I thought Niall had said Liam canceled.

"Come on lets sit," Niall whispered. When I still hadn't moved Niall tugged a little harder until I forced my feet to move towards the table. My cheeks flushed as I sat down.

The table had 6 chairs even though there were 5 of us. Zayn and Liam sat next to each other and Perrie sat across from Zayn. I decided to sit next to Perrie and Niall sat next to me leaving Liam sitting across from me.

"Sorry we're late," Niall said. "Did you guys order already?"

"Not yet." Liam still stared at me.

"I noticed you left early yesterday," Liam blurted.

"I wasn't feeling well." I quickly looked away. The entire table was silent and I was beginning to regret coming. I pulled out my phone.

*I thought you said he canceled!* I decided to text Niall rather than saying it out loud. I just wanted to avoid drama.

* Thats what he told me. Why does it matter?!*

*It doesn't* He watched me as I put my phone away and he shoved his into his pocket as well.

"Are you two coming back to Louder tonight?"

"On a Sunday? There's school tomorrow," I pointed out sounding nerdy. Liam chuckled.

"And I care because...?" Even Perrie looked uncomfortable as she shifted in her seat. How was he even invited? "Oh and sorry for leaving out on our little conversation yesterday Grace. I don't really think we got to finish-"

"Alright Liam," Niall growled. His tone shocked me, but it was great to know he was as aggravated as I was.

"Calm down Niall!" Liam taunted. I felt Niall tense as he squeezed my hand beneath the table.

"We can leave," I whispered to him

"Is leaving your answer to everything? Do you do that with Niall too? Well...you'll have to do that soon, right? Well technically you'll still be together but not together...still connected-"

"Shut up Liam!" Niall shouted. Everyone was definitely staring now. Liam pretended to be afraid which only infuriated Niall even more.

Before I could figure out what was going on Niall stormed towards the door leaving me standing at the table gawking at Liam in disgust.

"Grace! We're leaving!" Perrie gave me a sympathetic look before I noticed the other people in the restaurant staring horrified.

"Grace!!" Niall was no longer in view. I barely waved before practically running out the door.
