Harry. Oh god.

"Harry?" Niall stood from the couch. "What's he doing here?"

"What's he doing here?" Harry asked. Oh god...no.

"What are you doing here Harry?" I asked hoping the two boys would remain calm. I caught Niall grinning out the corner of my eye, clearly glad that I had taken his side.

"I came to talk to you about everything. About the kiss-"

"Kiss!?" Niall exclaimed. I cringed. My eyes turned to the staircase to see if my mother was there. Whew! She wasn't. I shot Harry a glare because he did that intentionally. He knew I hadn't told Niall about it. "What kiss!?" Niall asked again.

"First of all can you not share our conversation with the world," I said in a whispered hush.

"What kiss?" Niall asked dramatically quiet. I sighed.

"We didn't even kiss. I made him leave before anything could happen because I was mad."

"About what?" Again I sighed.

"Can we talk about this outside. And...separately. I don't need anyone swinging on anyone."

"Sure we can talk outside. But not separately. If he deserves to be hit then he will be." My heart raced as I opened the door and ushered them out, tinkering with the lock so that when I closed the door it wouldn't be locked completely.

Once we were out Niall stood looking at me expectantly and Harry stood leaned against the house smirking as if he were excited about what was to come.

"You told me that Harry came over. Not that he tried anything."

"I know...I know. I was mad because after you left the hospital he told me he didn't think you were worth stressing over and that I could do better. I was offended by the way he came over and just tried to kiss me so I kicked him out."

"Really dude?" Niall said crossing his arms.

"She should be mine anyways dude."

"That's why your ass got kicked out," Niall said finding the incident amusing.

"Shut up," Harry growled defensively. He took a step closer but realized quickly that Niall wasn't one to back down. He slouched against the house again.

"This whole thing is stupid," He said waving between Niall & I. "Your parents will get married and you two will break up. And I'll be here for Grace."

"Excuse me-" I tried to interject.

"Face it Grace. You're a hopeless romantic. And you're naïve. And you two are doomed."

"Hopeless romantic?" I asked.

"After all the shit he's dragged you through and the way you've been treated you're still here. Right by his side. You're certainly not stupid, but you feel a lot, I can tell. You're a hopeless romantic."

I wasn't even sure what to say.

"Look at him and look at me. I know I'm being a jerk right now and I'm sorry, but you're just....blind. As in you don't see what I see."

Again, I was speechless.

"Plus, he's an immigrant. I was born here."

"Ok what does that have to do with anything?" Niall said tired and annoyed. Harry was clearly running out of things to say. He shrugged.

I took a step towards Harry. "Look. You've been an amazing friend to me. And I understand everything you're saying. Except the immigrant thing that was just weird," I said shaking my head in confusion. He nodded, agreeing. "However, I'm well aware that Niall and I's relationship is...indefinite. And I don't need you waiting there like some sort of second choice. And you can call me a naïve, hopeless romantic. But I'm in love. And after everything....I can't just give up."

He nodded, and I was pretty sure there were tears in his eyes.

"I get it Grace." Then he started down the driveway.

Author's Note

It has literally been forever! I'm so sorry! I've been distracted but I definitely wanna update more frequently. Don't hate me! And sorry that it's so short :/ I had to read the last few chapters to make sure I knew what exactly was going on.

So what do you think of Harry? Insensitive jerk or sensitive and caring? Make sure you comment!
