Becca's POV

After saying bye to her friends at the end of the school day:

I walk home slowly because I can take my time. I decide to walk to the park to think about everything that happened today and enjoy the warm weather because it's going to end soon (She lives in Canada).

I send my mom a quick text telling her I'm going for a walk and not gonna be home right away.

She quickly reply's with 'can you please come home now I need to talk to you'.

I turn around and walk back in the direction of my house.

I pass Cam's house and see him outside playing basketball with Shawn. Cam is like an older brother to me I've known him since I was like 5 and he was 7 and we have been close friends since.

He just chose really bad people to hang around so he never talks to me at school only at his or my house. Anyway...

I watch him steal the ball from Shawn and shoot and get a basket.

"Nice shot Cam!" I yell from the sidewalk as I'm walking.

"Thanks Beccy!" He yells back.

The only reason he talks to me when Shawn is there is because he knows I hang out with Cam. But none of his other friends do.

I continue my walk to my house which happens to be beside Cam's and on the other side of Cam's is Shawn's.

I open the door and my mom pulls me into a hug as soon as I walk through the door.

"So I don't really know how to explain this but... I"m going to be traveling with your dad and I don't know how long I'm going for... your dad and I have been missing each other and have been talking about it and I think your old enough now to be home alone all the time.... and we will make sure to stay in contact with you." She quickly tells me.

"Wow okay that's a lot to take in. Okay then I'm going to be alone most of the time... but I-I understand you two need more time together... when do you leave?" I ask.

"Now..." She reply's.

"What?" I ask.

"I have everything packed and I'm going as soon as I can, there is $5000 cash on the fridge and we will keep sending you that much each month. Im sorry, love you." She says as she kisses the top of my head, picks up a suitcase and heads for the door.

I just stand there in shock. She's leaving me? I'm only 14 I'm not suppose to be alone. I hear her car pull away and I lean down against the wall and sit and let all my tears come out I pull my phone out of my pocket and call Cam.

After a few rings he picks up.

(C=Cam, B= Becca)

C- Hey Becca what's up?

B- C-Cam I-I need you.

C- Beccy what's wrong?

B- please come Cam.

C- Alright I need to tell Shawn to leave and I'll be right over, love you.

B- L-Love you too

I hang up and wait..

A/N- wow somehow I missed the second upload date! I'm so sorry I was done the chapter just didn't hit publish so tonight there is a double update!
