Chapter 9

Luna POV

I woke up to the sunlight prying my eyes open.

I looked over at Colby's bed but he was not there. I yawned and got out of bed, trudging to the door. I laid my hand on the door knob.

Before I opened it, I heard something..

Whispering.

I stepped closer, pressing my ear against the door.
I heard faint voices. Probably Sam and Colby.

"Do we have to do that?"

"Yes, Come on Colby!!"

"But Luna!!"

"I know! But it's the last thing I wanna do before leaving you guys for a month!"

"Ugh. Fine. But im not forcing her to participate."

I pulled away then waited a few moments before stepping outside.

"Morning.." I groaned.

Colby and Sam were sitting at the table eating pancakes.

"Morning Luna!! I left some extra pancakes on the counter for you." Colby exclaimed.

"Hey Luna." Sam mumbled.

Colby suddenly kicked Sam under the table, glaring hard.

Sam shot him a look but smiled over at me.

I pretended not to notice and sat down.

"So... Today we are gonna go out to the beach. Come or not, I don't care. Now im gonna pick up Devin and meet you there. Bye." Sam said leaving the table.

The beach? Like "get into a swimsuit" beach?! I'm too fat!

I watched him stomp out the door.

I looked down, starring at my feet.

Did I do something? Why is everyone always mad at me?

"Sam gets really moody when he has a hangover." Colby explains.

"Anyway, I would like for you to eat a little bit and I think you should go..well we... But you don't have too. I can stay here with you if you want." Colby says, giving me a longing look.

"Um. Sure." I say barely loud enough not to be a whisper.

Colby then moves his head, motioning toward the pancakes I ignored.

I nod and get up. I walk to the counter and grab a pancake.

That looks so fattening, and gross.

I sit down and stare at it, slightly poking at it with my fork.

"It won't hurt you Luna... Trust me." Colby sympathized, resting his hand on mine.

I frowned at Colby, but picked up a piece with my fork.

Colby eyed me as I ate. Each bite becoming harder to eat.

I ate a few bites before gagging harshly.

"Okay, okay. You can stop Luna. That's enough. Thank you." Colby said squeezing my hand. He got up and grabbed my plate, bringing it to the kitchen.

What am I thinking?!! I look like a pig! I can feel my stomach growing bigger.

Colby stuck his head out from the kitchen. "So Luna! Are you coming?! We will have fun!" Colby asked, trying to influence me to go.

Due to being wrapped up in my thoughts, I quickly answered without thinking. "Sure."

Wait woah! What the f*ck Luna! Are you stupid!!

I quickly turned to tell Colby I had changed my mind but Colby had already left to change.

I walked into our room, groaning. I pulled out my swim suit. It was a light blue two piece with small frills.

I turned to see Colby walk out of the bathroom. His hair was combed and he had his swim shorts on. Within his hair sat his sunglasses. He held his penny board in hand.

I struggled not to let out a small laugh. "What?!" Colby asked, looking down at himself. "YOU LOOK LIKE A TUMBLR BOY!" I shouted laughing.

Colby smiled at my laughter. "What's that?" He asked.

"It's a dude who has swoosh-y hair and loves penny boards!" I giggled.

Colby let out a laugh. "Well that's probably why all my fans love me!!" Colby joked.

"Your fans?" I questioned, confused. Colby's face suddenly flushed red but his eyes however lit up.

"Oh my god! I never told you! I'm a viner and I make YouTube videos! I do it with Sam. Reed, Cody, and Devin do it too!" Colby explains enthusiastically.

He seems really passionate about it! Awe.

"Wow!!" I said grinning at Colby's bright red face.

"I know right!" Colby said chuckling. "Now go get dressed. We don't want to be late!"

Colby left the room as I walked into our bathroom.

I put on the bathing suit, glaring at myself in the mirror.

I'm so ugly! Why would I even think it wouldn't be that bad!? Just look at this!!

I pinched at my stomach and thighs disgustedly.

I reached my hands back to untie my suit but I heard a knock. When I opened it Colby stood, gaping.

"What? Do I look that bad?!" I shouted, afraid of his answer.

"No! You look great!!" He answered giving me the biggest grin ever, blushing wildly.

I smiled and quickly brushed my straight long brown hair.

Forgetting my worries, I stepped out of the bathroom.

"Okay... Lets go." I said, happily.
