Chapter 43

Luna POV

I groaned loudly and shuffled around the bathroom.

I decided to get ready since I was up.

I brushed my hair and put a black bandana around it. I put on my sleeveless band T-shirt. Pierce the Veil of course.

I shoved my legs through my white jeans and did a little makeup.

Stepping out of the bathroom, I tucked my dirty clothes back in my bag.

I dropped it on the floor and hopped into bed.

I turned on my phone and began to play games until Colby woke up.

2 pm.

Finally, Colby was awake.

I grinned slightly at his hair (which was sticking up in all kinds of directions) as he rubbed his eyes.

"What time is it?" Colby huffed.

"2." I said grinning at the grogy mess.

His eyes widened as he jumped off the couch.

"What!!? I'm wasting the day sleeping! This is practically our last day together!!" Colby shouted.

"I know.. it's okay." I said weakly.

I was too exhausted to give up a fight.

I watched as Colby ran into our room and within minutes, ran out in new clothes.

He wore his black beanie over his fluffy hair and his rose ombre shirt with tight black jeans.

"What's the rush..?" I questioned, concerned.

"I was gonna take you......hey! I can't tell you!" Colby exclaimed as he looked for his keys.

"Well damn." I joked, putting my hands up in offense.

Colby suddenly stopped and looked at me. He smirked stupidly and pointed at my bandana.

"Actually, tie that around your eyes." Colby chuckled.

I gave him a weird look but continued to follow his instructions.

I listened to the muffled noises in the kitchen and doorway.

Finally, I heard Colby's footsteps and the seat next to me sunk. I'm assuming he sat down..

"Okay. Time to go."

"Luna... Reach your hand out." Colby told me.

I slowly reached out and met his hand. He wrapped the other under my legs as he pulled me out of the car.

He set me down and shut the car door behind me.

I stayed still as I listened to the trunk open and close.

"You can take it off now." Colby chirped.

I slowly lifted the bandana to see Colby sitting down on a blanket with food.

A picnic!

Looking up, I admired the view. We were above the town. I watched in awe as the small cars whizzed by.

"I wanted to get here before the sunset.." Colby chuckled as he helped me sit down.

We chattered as we munched down on our dinner.

Laughing filled my ears along with the tweets of birds in the trees.

Slowly, the night grew closer.

We sat on top of the hood of Colby's car.

Gazing at the stars, we attempted to find constellations.

"It's the dudes belt!! What's his name??" Colby joked, pointing at the sky.

I giggled and looked at him as he beamed back at me.

Suddenly, a firework erupted. Colors of blues and pinks and reds.

"Where is that coming from?" I asked, sitting up, looking down at the town.

"Reeds house. I asked him to do it." Colby grinned at me.

"Your so sweet." I blushed, tucking my hair behind my ear and laying back down.

Too bad it won't last..

"Ugh. I can't believe im leaving." I groaned, covering my face.

"At least we have today.." Colby whispered passionately, pulling my hands away.

His lips met mine as he wrapped his arms around my body in a warm embrace.

Fingertips trailing to my lower waist.

Guys, no. They didn't do anything.. just kissing.

I know some of you guys might of thought that.

Anyway, I will be planning a Q&A for the end of the book. (Do not ask questions now) I'm just updating you on my ideas.
