Chapter 10

Colby POV

I'm surprised Luna didn't give me a hard time about eating or going out to the beach today! Maybe she's getting better! Hopefully!

Luna POV

I get into the passengers seat, covering myself with my towel.

I pull my sunglasses over my eyes as we drive to meet the guys at the beach.

When we reach the beach, I spot Sam and Reed struggling to pull out their surfboards from the trunk.

Colby and I park as we climb out, chuckling to ourselves.

Reed was wearing bright red swim shorts, a black snapback, and black ray bands. Sam wore a greyish white pair of swim shorts, his white ray bands sitting in his hair.

"Luna!" Cody shouts pulling his black penny board out of the back seat. I walk over to him as Colby goes to help Sam and Reed.

Cody wore black sun glasses and black swim shorts, his silver lip ring shining in the light.

"Hey, I'm sorry about last night. " Cody said putting on his bag. "I don't remember it honestly, Reed just told me I should apologize. Whatever." He laughed.

I smiled and laughed back, remembering what he said.

"I hope I don't remember I said that."

Suddenly another guy emerged from the front seat, coming up behind Cody. "Hey Luna! I'm Devin!" Devin said to me.

Devin had regular glasses and blue and green swim shorts.

I waved shyly at Devin, before continuing my conversation with Cody.

"Alright lets go!" Sam yelled.

Sam ran, carrying his gigantic surfboard in his hands. Reed ran behind him as they raced to the beach.

Colby and Cody rode their Penny boards but stayed with our pace, not zooming off with Reed and Sam.

Devin held the cooler as we walked down towards the beach.

As soon as we set our stuff up, Cody ran out with Sam towards the ocean, practically throwing themselves into the water.

Devin grabbed a football and began playing with Reed as I sat on my towel, wishing I was wearing something less revealing.

"Luna!! Lets go hang out with Cody and Sam! " Colby exclaimed, towering over me.

"Uh..I don't know.." I muttered.

"Come on... I don't want you to sit here alone and sad. I want you to have fun while your with me! Now lets go Luna!" Colby said, holding out a hand.

I smiled at Colby and gladly took his hand. Colby ran, dragging me behind to the bright blue sea.

The waves crashed against my stomach. It was actually quite warm. I couldn't see much due to all the foam.

"What should we do?" I asked, starring at the guys.

"LET PLAY CHICKEN FIGHT!" Cody shouted.

"YES! I CALL CODY!" Sam screeched.

Suddenly I felt Colby under me as I began to shove at Sam, who sat on Cody's shoulders.

Feeling insecure, I looked down at my stomach, giving Sam his chance.

Down, Colby and I tumbled.

The water rushed over us.

For a moment, I didn't want to ever come back up..

Suddenly a hand pulled me up to the surface.

Cody.

"Are you okay Luna? Cody said, worried.

I felt Colby and Sam's eyes on me.

"Yeah. Yeah" I responded, quickly brushing it off.

"Okay.. Good!" Colby chuckled, before combing his fingers through his messy, wet hair.

We played a few more rounds and some Marco Polo before rushing up on to the shore to eat.

I sat on my towel, watching the guys shove food into their mouthes.

"Luna! How do you like hanging out with Colby and all?" Devin asked, looking interested.

"It's ..uh good, actually. " I replied giving a small smile.

I could see Colby blushing behind his raybands.

"So Colby told me you guys do vine and YouTube? Is it true?" I ask.

The guys all exchanged looks when...

"YEAH!!" the guys scream.

"We love it." Reed said laughing. "Devin and I do covers..." explained Reed. "Cody does Vine and YouTube." Devin said cutting off Reed.

I looked at Sam and Colby.

"You already know what we do." Sam said shrugging.

I let out a laugh when Cody suddenly stood up. "Luna! I should teach you how to surf!" He exclaimed, looking like a happy child.

"Why not?" I nod, grinning.

Colby POV

Ever since last night I couldn't help but feel jealous of Cody. He had it all, and yet he tries to steal Luna...

I don't get why I feel so protective over her.

..maybe because of the crash..?

I don't know, but I do know for sure, I don't want them alone together, or even together. Period.

I quickly hopped to my feet.

"Can I come with you guys?" I asked, already grabbing Sam's surfboard.

"I guess so.." Cody said, shooting me a glare when Luna turned away to grab her sunglasses.

I'm totally gonna kill him.
