Chapter 48

Colby POV

I paced around while Axel called up his parents.

We decided that it was best for Luna to stay.

Of course, I was relieved but I didn't know how their parents would feel about her suicide attempt.

"Hello?" Axel called out into the phone.

"Hey Mom and Dad! We need to talk.." Axel continued.

Axel put a finger to his mouth and set the call on speaker, placing it on the table.

"What about son?" A male voice replied, im guessing Mr.Asher.

"Well about Luna coming back.." Axel answered, fumbling with his fingers.

"What's wrong about her sweetie?" A female voice responded, also guessing that was Ms.Asher.

"See she had a....problem, about leaving. She believes her depression will worsen if she leaves Colby." Axel explained.

I held my breath as I listened closely.

"..And how do you know that?" Mr Asher questioned.

"She..um.. tried to commit suicide before she left. The only way we got her to stop, was promising her she could stay." Axel continued.

"Is she stupid??!!!" Mr. Asher screeched. Axel bit his lip and glanced at he floor.

I see what she meant about being unhappy going back home. She's underappreciated.

"Calm down." Ms. Asher snapped.

Axel looked at me worriedly then back to the phone. He tapped his fingers on the table as I continued to pace around.

We listened to the quiet whispering in the background.

"...we want to talk to this "Colby." " Finally , Mr.Asher growled.

Oh god.

Here we go.

For Luna.

I drew in a breath and spoke, "Hello Mr Asher."

"Why should we leave her with you?" Mr Asher asked aggressively.

"Well..because I want to take care of her and keep her happy. " I answered, calmly.

Then there was a pause.. it felt like years but it was only a few seconds.

"....you love her don't ya kid?" He mumbled.

"Yes sir."

After being questioned like crazy, they agreed she could stay but they would be checking on us soon.

I sighed in relief as the call finally ended.

I sat down next to Axel at the table, brushing my hair with my fingers.

"Look. I think you might want to get a new apartment or maybe a house? So Sam can stay here and you guys could focus on yourselves." Axel explained, placing a hand on my shoulder.

It wasnt a bad idea..

I nodded and continued to check my bank account on my phone.

Looks like I have enough for a house..

"Maybe a house?" I suggested. "I have the money."

"Lets look .. do you have a computer?"

I stood up and led Axel to my office.

It was a small room, the only light came from a small window. In the corner, my black desk sat with my laptop on top of it. I usually used it to edit videos but I guess it wouldn't be a problem.

Axel immediately threw himself down in my chair, making himself comfortable and started to work.

I told him my price range and we began looking for a house for Luna and I.

Anyway, how do you feel about everything that's happening?

So Axel's gf will be told soon. (Some need to comment their names to make it fair)

Okay so I'm thinking of spamming the rest of the book tonight :) Should I?
