Chapter 36

Luna POV

The anger and sadness churned inside me. I felt like any other emotion had disappeared completely.

Who cares? That's all I really felt anyway.

The rage swirling and growing inside of me made it hard to breathe.

Cody glared at me, veins popping. His face was bright red. Cody seemed really hurt by my comment.

Finally, Cody opened his mouth to let out his venomous response.

"I never want to see you either.. I wish you died in that car crash." Cody snarled as he turned on his heel.

I squeezed my fists tighter as tear drops rimmed my eyes.

He's right.

Colby flung the bedroom door open and stormed after Cody as I continued to stare at the door they disappeared behind.

I didn't move but stood, letting the tears roll down my face.

Your disgusting Luna.
Your family abandoned you.
Your a f*ck up.
Your a terrible person.
You ruin everything.
He is right.
You deserved to die.

I felt myself grow anxious for any type of harm.

I clawed at my own arms desperately and slowly scrunched up on to the floor.

I cried out as I cradled myself on the floor.

I sat up, tears streaked my cheeks as I heard the door open.

Colby noticed me and rushed over.

He's just gonna leave you like everyone else does.

"Luna??" Colby whispered, squatting so he was at my level.

He reached out to hug me but I pulled back harshly.

"Wha..?" Colby trailed off.

"Colby..leave me alone."

"Why? Did i do something? Why are you acting like this?" Colby questioned.

"Colby leave.."

"Luna.."

"COLBY JUST LEAVE ME ALONE. I DONT WANT YOU HERE." I screamed, wrapping my arms around myself.

No..please don't.

Luna, don't be stupid. Let him. He will anyway, don't waste his time.

I gripped my hair, putting my head between my knees as I cried harder.

"Please stop.." I whimpered to myself.

Colby fixed his hair and furrowed his eyebrows together. He gripped his own shirt, looking pained to see me like this. I  looked at his hand which trembled slightly.

"Luna.. it's okay." Colby reassured me.

No, its not. He won't get it, he never will.

"COLBY. LEAVE. PLEASE!" I begged. "I DONT WANT TO BE HURT."

Colby POV

I starred down at Luna.

She..she..thinks im gonna leave her?

"I'm not leaving Luna." I mumbled, trying to keep my voice from cracking.

"COLBY STOP LYING." Luna shouted painfully. She hugged her knees and refused to open her watery eyes.

I sat unable to answer. I fumbled with my fingers.

I love you...Luna..

"Now leave..please.." she whimpered.

I wanted to help her, but I didn't know how.

Give her space..for a little.

I nodded and stood up, grabbing my jacket.

I soon slipped out the door and headed towards the car.
