Chapter 46

Luna POV

I didn't hesitate.

I jumped up, my bag crumbling to the floor.

I dashed out the door, grabbing the keys as I flew past the counter.

Running as fast as I could down the stairs, I hoped this was the answer.

It all was too much.

Running to the car, I popped open the trunk and grabbed the pistol hidden under the floor compartment.

"Luna!!!" I heard Axel and Colby yell from the apartment.

I threw the keys down into the trunk and ran off towards the forest.

Colby POV

I ran closely behind Axel when I noticed a car with the trunk open..

"Is that your car?" I shouted, pointing at the abandoned vehicle.

"Yeah! It is!" Axel screamed as he ran faster.

When I reached the car, his face had gone pale as he frantically ripped away the floor to an.. compartment?

It seemed to be empty when he finally got to it.

"What...?" I questioned confused.

"My gun. I had a gun ! LUNA HAS THE GUN." Axel began to scream.

Is she..?!
NO!

Looking around, we noticed a puddle and some footprints after it.

LUNA!!!

Luna POV

Deeper and deeper into the forest, I stumbled across a lake.

I stopped and held my breath, looking at the monstrosity in my hand.

Come on!
Here's your chance!
Do it!

Slowly and uneasy, I brought the gun to my temple, pressing it lightly.

"LUNA!!!" Colby screamed.

I whipped around to see Colby and Axel running full speed at me.

"STOP!" I screamed, putting a hand out and pressing the gun harder on my temple.

They immediately stopped and eyed me.

"Luna..don't.."Colby whimpered.

"Why..Luna?" Axel cried out.

"Axel, you don't understand! After I leave Colby, I'm gonna be in a lifetime of hell." I started, tears rolling down my face.

"I'm gonna be insanely unhappy because well..Colby is the only one that makes me happy." I added.

Colby rubbed his watery eyes looking scared and vulnerable. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing could come out.

"Luna. Please don't..i-"Axel began. His body trembled as he reached towards me.

"no. I heard enough."I stated, cutting him off and turning towards the water.

Putting my finger on the trigger I starred down at the clear beautiful water that reflected the moon.

Goodbye.

"WAIT!!!"

EVERYONE CALM DOWN!
