Jess and her mom walked out into the theater, shocked. It was way bigger than the last one they went to and so many more people were there. It took over five minutes to reach their seats because of all of the girls and boys packed there. They sat down. The view of the stage was amazing.

"So, are you and Shawn friends now?" Jess's mom asked her.

"Yeah, I guess.  Its crazy right? That we are FRIENDS!"

"Totally, honey. Did you guys act that way when you saw each other at Central Park? You know, all, excited and close. I talked with his mom and he apparently, your the only one he ever did that to." Her mom seemed to want information. She wanted to see if there was anything going on between Jess and Shawn.

There wasn't. Right? Jess thought.

"No, we didn't act that way when we saw each other at Central Park. Why we did today, I have no idea. Maybe because it has been a whole month since we saw each other?" Jess was going to continue when a girl to the right of her interrupted.

She was younger than Jess, maybe 10 or 11, with long golden hair in two braids and wearing ALL Shawn Mendes clothes. She had on his tour shirt, with his zip-up logo sweatshirt over it, SM sweatpants, a SM headband, necklace, and three braclets. On EACH arm. She had freckles dotting every inch of her face and a nice tan.

"Excuse me, I heard you saying how Shawn never acted all excited and close with a fan other than you before and I wanted to tell you that that is not true. He actually got very close with me. I met him six times and went to nine concerts of his. He knows my name and follows me on Instagram. So no, you are not the only one. Don't feel so special. Your not even supporting him by wearing all of his merch clothes." she said in a snotty, annoyingly high pitched voice.

"Well little girl, I want you to know that if you think that what you have with Shawn is a strong bond, you are extremely misled. If you think that I am not the only one he is close with then think that. Just keep it to yourself. And just because I am not wearing full on "I'm overly and unhealthily obsessed with Shawn" clothes, doesn't mean that I don't love him and support him as much as you. Actually, I probably love and support him more than you. So bug off. Btw, he follows me on Instagram, knows my name, and we have each other's numbers." Jess snorted meanly at the brat.

"LIAR!! You don't have Shawn's number and he SOOOO does not have your's. And I love, support and are very close with him, way more than you are, b*****!" The girl cursed at Jess. Now things just got personal. It happened to be a very good time for the mothers to interfere.

"LORAINE TIMBERWOOD, WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!" the woman sitting next to the girl-Loraine-yelled. The brat immediately sat down and drooped her head.

"I'm sorry mama, I didn't mean it. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." Loraine mumbled. The woman, who Jess guessed was her mother took Loraine by the arm and pulled her out of the theater.

Good for her, Jess thought. The brat deserved it. Jess sat down and sighed. A good argument was nice once in a while, but tiring. Especially when you get called the b-word by a child. A CHILD!

The lights started to dim, signifying the concert was starting. Cheers erupted as Shawn entered the stage.

"I know that we just met, and maybe this is dumb. But it feels like there was something from the moment that we touched..." Shawn sang. He never sang Kid In Love first. It was rare that he even sang it at all. As he reached the chorus of "Maybe I'm just a kid in love and maybe I'm just a kin in love. Oh baby. If this is what its like falling in love, then I don't ever want to grow up", Jess felt his eyes on her. He smiled as he sang and as girls and boys cried out "I love you", he never went to look at them. He kept his warm brown eyes trained on Jess. She smiled back and she and so many others sang along with him.
