Not the last chapter so don't worry:) One more left. ENJOY!:):):):):):):)

It was two minutes until people would be coming in for meet and greets. And GOD, Jess was scared. She had no idea what to expect. Without Shawn, she had no one there to tell her what it was like. No one who was famous or semi famous like her. Matt was trying to calm her nerves.

"It is just like being with your friends. Expect for the part where you don't know them and they love you in a strange and not understandable way." Matt said, losing confidence in his ability to help as the sentence went on. Then a worker gave the cue and people would be coming in any second. Matt have her a quick hug and left.

The first person was a girl a little younger than Jess. She had fiery red hair and luscious curls. She looked more nervous than Jess and smiled bigger than her small head could handle. The next one was a little boy around age 7 who was really excited and even had a shirt with her name on it. Apparently, his mother worked at a shirt company and was able to make a shirt with her name printed on it. He was a huge fan, as well as very cute. The third person to enter was a girl who was at least a year older and head taller then Jess. Jess had no idea how she was a fan of her. But she was. The second she saw Jess, she broke out into tears. Jess felt her heart melt and gave her a big hug. She never had a fan be so emotional over seeing her. It shocked her and made her feel happy and loved. More and more people came and went and soon, the meet and greet was done. Next step, concert.

When Jess stepped on the stage, she was greeted by her largest crowd yet. They screamed her name and chanted loudly. Jess was so happy. She spotted her friends, along with the two boys Scott and Jake. Cool kids they were, with their own personalities completely opposite of each other. But the one person she didn't see was Shawn. She had had a small lingering hope that he would be there, suprise her and be her knight in shining armor. That was stupid to hope for though.

Without or without Shawn, she knew she had to do the concert and began to do her favorite thing in the world: sing.

After concert:

Jess walked off stage with her audience cheering. It had been a great concert. Waiting for her were her friends who left the concert early to see her. They individually hugged her and gave her congrats on her accomplishments. It was great. Then there was Matt. He ran up to her and gave her a bone crushing hug. Maddy walked up besides them and punched him in the arm, making him let go.

"Off my cupcake." She said harshly. He gave her a nagging look, then turned his attention back to Jess.

"You did great! See, you had nothing to worry about!"

"Thanks." Jess said. Matt kept talking, but she wasn't really listening. It had been a great concert and it was awesome having him be there, but there was still the conflict with her mom. She couldn't stay with Maddy again. That would just be rude. Where was she to stay? Should she go back home? Should she ask Jaime? Matt?

All of these thoughts swam in her head as people talked to and around her. Then they stopped. The world was quiet. Well, at least to Jess. All because of the tall, brown haired boy that stood at the backstage entrance. He looked worn out, like he just ran a marathon. His brown eyes sparkled in the dim lighting. He was breathing heavily. His clothes were rumpled and looked like something he would wear to bed. They were a white shirt and sweatpants. He had a maroon sweatshirt open, over the shirt. He stared at Jess, as she stared at him. Next thing Jess knew, she was in his arms, their bodies compacted together. She buried her head in his chest. He clung to the back of her shirt.

"Shawn! How are you here?" she asked the boy.

"I talked with my mom and after some time she finally gave in. With some conditions, I was able to leave the house. I guess I missed the show though."

"What conditions?" Jess asked questioningly.

"Oh, just no phone or computer or tv or guitar for two weeks. Nothing much. Hey, it is better to have you and not those things than the other way around." Shawn acted like it was no big deal. But Jess knew that his guitar meant the world to him.

"Your guitar?! You gave up your guitar for me?"

Shawn cupped her face in the palm of his hand.

"Of course I did cupcake. I love you."

"And I have a deep regard for you too." Jess said with a laugh. She quoted Mr. Peabody from the movie Mr. Peabody and Sherman. It was an old and childish movie, but was still funny to quote.

Shawn smiled and leaned down so his face was in front of her's. "I hope it is a really, really deep regard." Then he placed his lips onto her's. Jess wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back.

After minutes of kissing, Jess and Shawn broke apart. Everyone was looking at them, staring even though it was impolite. The one person who stuck out of the crowd though, was Jess's mom.

"Jess..." She said quietly.

"Mom."

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean what I said. I understand that you and Shawn are a couple and are starting to explore different things in life. And that is ok. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I just...I was just surprised. Do you forgive me?" her mom asked.

Jess inhaled deeply with Shawn at her side. He gave her hand a quick squeeze then walked off to give her and her mom some space. It calmed her. "Yeah. It hurt though, just so you know. To be called such a thing by my own mother."

There were tears in Lori's eyes. "Honey, please. You are nothing of that and I should NEVER have said that. It is untrue. Please. I just don't want anything to happen to you. After all, you are all I have."

Jess walked to her mother and gave her a hug. Forgiveness granted. Her mother was all she had too and she could never stay mad at her. She gave her everything she could possibly want in life and more. "I love you."

"I love you too sweetie." The mother and daughter hugged for a little longer then let go. "I also want to forgive you, Shawn. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I can't thank you more for all that you have done for my daughter over the years and in the past few months. Even if there are some things I don't approve of, I still love you."

Shawn smiled and thanked Jess's mom. Once everyone in the audience left and the theater was cleared, Jess headed for home with her mom on her left and Shawn at her right. Shawn was her right-hand-man whenever she needed him. Her mother was all she had left. It fit perfectly. Her right hand was laced with Shawn's and her left hand squeezed against her mom's. The two hands she needed to hold onto the most and the ones that supported her through everything. The one's that she had gone to for comfort, when rejoicing, and when she was infuriated. The hands that would guide her through life.
