Chapter 28

Nathan's P.O.V
I follow Blairs mom as we drive to the lake house. We arrive and I run to the door. Blairs mom called the police but I told her what happened the last time I did that. I bit my lip. Blair better be okay. If she went and got herself killed in going to be pissed. I slowly walk up with Blairs mother right behind me. I gently push the door open and I hear voices. Blair is sobbing and I hear a girls voice. "Let's go." The woman says. Blairs mother gasps. "Gabbie"she says. "Everything must be fine that's Gabbie." Blairs mom says. Something still doesn't feel right. We walk in. Blair sees us and her eyes widen with panic. Gabbie swings towards us with a gun. Before Gabbie can shoot Blair tackles her. I watch in horror as Gabbie pins her down and shoots her near her chest.
I hear sirens as i run to Blair and Gabbie runs out. Blairs mother sobs as she sits by her daughter. The police file in and everything is a daze after Blair is put on a stretcher. I watch as Gabbie is shoved into a police car and Brendon's dead body is taken away. I drive not thinking as I make my way to the hospital. Please let Blair be okay! I rub my cheek and realize I'm fucking crying! I arrive and wait outside the room with Blairs mom. Blair is in emergency surgery. The bullet barely missed her heart. Blairs mother looks at me. I smile but she doesn't smile back. "Do you care about Blair?" She asks. "Of course I love Blair." I say. "Than listen very closely to what I'm about to say." She says. I nod my head and she takes deep breath. "Stay away from Blair." She says. I shake my head. "I didn't think so, here it goes stay away from her or I will ruin you and send Blair to a boarding school." She says. "Ruin me but don't torture Blair just because I love her." I say. "You have hurt her enough so please just stay away." She pulls a envelope out Of her purse and hands it to me. I open it and see several one hundred dollar bills. I throw it at her. " I don't want your damn money I will do this for Blair and her only." I say. She nods her head. "I'm not leaving until I know she's okay and than I won't be a problem anymore." I say angrily. "Fine but when she's awake I expect you gone I don't want her getting anymore attached to you." She says. "Your just hurting Blair by doing this." I say. "Well she's hurting me by being with you." She says. "Talking about your image mayor?" I ask. She smiles. "Always." She says
