I explain the situation to Katie after I hang up, and we both start hyperventilating.

"Now what?! We have no where to stay!" I exclaim.

My life is just a mess at this point.

'I kind wish I had died with Luke now' I think to myself.

My eyes widen. I've never thought anything like that. It was so... so much more negative than my usual self. I don't like it... but at the same time, it takes less strength to think of bad things than good things.

'Maybe if I kill myself, I'll be out of this mess and finally reunite with Luke...'

I start to imagine what would happen if I did commit suicide.

My parents would probably be disappointed in me. Katie would probably hate me for leaving her. The only person that would've cried would be Luke... If he was still around to cry for me.

"Carrie? Were you even listening to me?" Katie asks, while waving a hand in front of my face.

"Don't call me Carrie!" I angrily say through my teeth at her.

At first, she was shocked to say the least, but then she remembered I'm going through a lot and just left the matter alone.

"Ok, Carter. I said, we could rent a cheep motel room until we get the money back for our room. When did the lady say?" She says.

I think about it and then say, "She never said anything about it. Lets go to the hotel to get it."

We go to the luggage carousel and get our stuff, then get the car we rented, a Honda civic. Nothing too fancy.

We drive to the hotel, getting lost twice.

Once we arrive, we park and enter the tall building.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The concierge questioned us.

"Um, we just got a call saying our room was out bought, so we came to get our money back." I say as unawkwardly as I could. I have social anxiety, where I get nervous in any social activity wether it be talking, performing of any kind, doing anything where someone is watching me or could possibly be judging makes me nauseous, which my therapist claims isn't normal.

"Oh yes, Carter Allen! Ok, you get your money back tomorrow." She says with a 100% phony smile.

"is there any way we could get some today? We don't have enough for another room..." Katie requests.

The lady shakes her head and puts on a fake pout. "No, I'm afraid not. I could always suggest cheap motels, however." She tells us.

"No, lady, I don't think you understand. WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GET A ROOM NO MATTER HOW CHEAP. OUR PARENTS DIDN'T SEND US WITH MONEY BECAUSE THEY DON'T TRUST US, THEY'RE SENDING US CHECKS IN THE MAIL, BUT WE DON'T HAVE THAT MONEY AT THE MOMENT, NOW DO WE? NO BITCH, WE DON'T. SO NO, I DON'T WANT YOU TO SUGGEST FUCKING MOTELS." I yell at her.

Her face shows a look of disapproval and anger.

Shit.

"We need security at the front desk," She says into the phone while holding down a button.

Oh hell no.

"I don't need to be carried out, bitch!" I scream as I turn and walk back to our car, with Katie hot on my heels.

We both get in and sit in silence for a moment.

She looks over at me, so I look at her also.

She opens her mouth, as if to say something. Probably to scold me. But then she shakes her head a but and shoots me a grin.

"That was so badass, Carter." She finally speaks up.
