I keep my head low and almost bowed to show both my fear and intent of respect towards the leaders.
My body is hunched slightly as if I'm afraid of being harmed which isn't very far from the truth. I don't know what these leaders are capable of. I don't know how they respond to outsiders.
I feel like my body could crumple at any moment under their harsh gazes, but I hold strong. Not too strong, though, that they could see that my weak act is an act.
"I found her nearly dead over the mountain." The woman who brought me here speaks in a foreign tone to me, completely different from how she had talked to me. The tone is much more reverent but also cold towards me.
I continue to tremble as one of their hands reaches forward to grab my chin.
"Where are you from, child?" I look up the arm that has a hold of my chin to see chilling grey eyes that mine lock instantly to. I can't seem to look away.
"I was c-captured by the F-fir-first—"
"The First Order," another man, one standing behind the one that holds my chin, says in a distinctive voice. His words are not a question, they are a statement. As if he knows exactly where I'm from.
"How, then, are you here?" The one holding my chin asks. His eyes study me in an apprehensive way as if he can see through my lies.
I look straight back into his eyes with all of the fear I can muster up. "The ship. It-it went down. I don't know what happened—I-I don't know—they had me! I couldn't get him out! I couldn't breathe—"
"Hush, child," the third man, the one who hasn't spoken yet, says quietly before stepping forward.
"She was on a ship and I believe it crashed not too far north of the Mountain. I found her bruised, cut, and beaten. She's malnourished. She was their prisoner," the woman who brought me here says, lacking any emotion in her voice.
Even though she seems apathetic at this moment, she's doing me a huge favor by telling them this as though she believes me. As though she wants them to believe me.
The three men look at me and the one holding my face drops his hand before grabbing my arm instead and forcing me to stand up straight. I cower from all of them, acting as though I'm scared of what they could do to me.
I am scared, though. Kylo's voice keeps echoing in my head.
"Lyra, listen to me. You have to succeed. I can't help you once you're gone and if you fail..." He looks like he wants to say more but he doesn't. He stays silent for a few moments instead, staring at me with a strange look on his face, one I can't identify.
"Lyra," he says, catching my full attention again. My thoughts had naturally drifted to our activities only minutes before.
He pushes hair behind my ear as he props himself up on his arm to look at me better.
"Don't get yourself killed. They will kill you if they think you're with us." He looks at me with such seriousness that I forget all thoughts that do not pertain to my death. "And if they don't and you don't get what we need, Snoke will."
So many times Kylo talked to me about how I would be killed if I did just one thing wrong. So many times he urged me to be perfect so that I would stay alive.
I'm determined to do just that. Stay alive.
"We will see where her loyalties lie. From there we will decide what to do with her." The man holding my arm firmly says to me.
"Leader, she is extremely undernourished and underweight. It's not healthy." She looks like she's about to say something else but the second man raises a hand.
"We will see to it that she is treated well unless she gives us a reason not to." His voice is kind despite the underlying threat behind his words.
"Thank you for bringing her to us, Lady Wyn." The third man says, stepping towards her and taking her hand in his. "You may have your leave now. Go home and get some rest." His words are not caring, but commanding. He is not saying that he wants her to get rest, he is simply saying that because he wants her to leave now. His voice is strong and powerful, but it seems as though he could be much more demanding.
I'm trying to infer as much as I can about each of these three men so that I can learn their personalities and weaknesses as quickly as possible. If I do this I can win their trust easily, but it won't be an easy task to learn their minds so quickly.
The lady is dismissed before I'm released from the grey eyes man.
"We'll be taking you to a holding room now," the second man says, gesturing for me to move towards him. I step tentatively towards him and when I reach him I feel his hand move to my back to usher me along. I jump in fright away from him.
"We are not intent on hurting you, girl. Do not fear us," the third man says, I think. I can't see him. "You have no reason to fear unless you are our enemy."
I look back at him and lock my eyes on his, nodding slowly, showing him that I may actually trust his words. I show him that I am not the enemy.
I turn back around at the slight push on my back from man number two.
"What is your name, child?" The third man asks.
"Lyra Elson."
"Lyra Elson, the girl who escaped the First Order," the second man, the one with his hand on my back, says monotonously.
Lyra Elson, the girl who works for the First Order.

Wow I didn't realize how long it had been since I had written! I'm so sorry finals and prom and graduation had me so busy!!
But now that I'm graduated, I will have sooooo much more time to write and read!
Reading helps my writing so much because it's a constant reminder of how much I should be putting into my work so when I don't read, my writing sucks and when I do it gets better. I currently have 5 books lined up on my shelf for me to read all from different authors so I can't wait to see how that will help my writing improve :) (yes that was a tip for anyone wondering how to improve their writing).
