When I got in the car Elizabeth spoke up.
"Was that Jessica?" Liz was looking back at us.
"Yea." Hayes replied. I clenched my fists and then Hayes unclenched them and locked his fingers with mine. "She's mad because of-" Hayes got cut off because Liz stopped short. We all went flying face first, but that was the last thing I remembered.
When I woke up I saw Hayes, Elizabeth, Mom, Annee, and another boy with blonde hair and light green eyes.
"What happened?" I asked.
"A little girl crossed the road without looking and I stopped short. The person behind us rearended us and you were the only one with a severe injury." I heard Elizabeth's voice crack. Hayes came over and held my hand."This is Max, he's kinda my best friend," Max waved at me. I waved back.
"When will I be home?"
"In 3 days, that is if you're coming with me..." my Mom was holding Annee and she had tears in her eyes. I rolled over and looked at Hayes.
"I'll be back in 3 days," I gave him a smile.
"That's too long Babe," he complained. I looked in his bright blue eyes and I just smiled. He looked at me and smiled.
"You 3 should leave so I can talk to Annee and my Mom," I rolled my eyes. I still had my back turned to her.
"I'll be right outside ok?" I gave him a wink then I rolled over. Annee got out of my Mom's arms that were like chains on a prisoner. She climbed on my bed like a monkey.
"I love you sissy," Annee sniffled her nose and kissed my head.
"I love you more cakes," I brushed her golden curls behind her ears. She had a little smile, but I saw her tears forming.
"I'll be back in a few days.""You'll be with Hayes like you always are."
"I'll be back in three days," I gave her a wink. She rolled her eyes. "When did you learn to do that?" I asked.
"I learned from the best sissy ever," she hugged me, and I didn't let go of her for a while.
"You should go play a game with Hayes," my Mom suggested. Annee walked out of the room. My Mom stared at me blatantly. "You still look beautiful," she spoke softly. She sat down on my hospital bed. "I'm sorry Doo, I just lost control and I've been taking therapy to make my anger ease." My Mom's golden hair was in a messy bun, and her eyes were darker blue than usual.
"It's ok, I'm going to be back soon. I was mad, and I felt hurt on the inside because I knew you would never do that, but you did," my voice was shaky and I tried not to talk because if I did I would cry.
"I am so sorry, honestly," my Mom just looked down. It was quiet for a while.
"I'll be back in three days Mom, I promise," I grabbed her hand. Hayes walked in and realized what he walked into. "Mom, can I talk to Hayes alone?" My mother nodded her head and then walked out of the room. Hayes scratched his head and then sat down on a near by chair. "I have to go back with Annee, and my Mom."
"I know, but we will still hang out, just at your house," he gave a faint smile.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Come here" Hayes walked over to me. I pulled him on the bed. He was trying to not lay on me, fearing he'd hurt me. I moved over for him and we were spooning. We fell asleep.
