chapter 2

When I got off the bus I walked to my new house. It was light blue and very large for 3 people. As soon as I got in the driveway my 5 year old sister ran threw the front door and into my arms.

"Hi sissy! How was school today?" She was very excited and she looked so cute in her pink dress. I picked her up and walked towards our house.

"It was really good," I gave her a smile and put her down when we got in the house. She looked up at me and smiled.

"I made a new friend and I'm gonna have a play date with her today." My mom came up to us and hugged me.

"Did you meet any friends today?" My mom was very nosey and she always got the scoop.

"Yea, I'm actually going to have one over today if it's okay?" My mom smiled and she looked happy.

"Of course, What's her name?"

"Megan, I just met her and she seems really nice. Who is Annee going to hang out with?" I looked at Annee and gave her a quick wink.

"A girl named Skylynn, her brother is taking her here. They should arrive any moment now."

The next thing I knew I opened the door and it was Hayes and this little girl. Annee came rushing past me and gave the little girl a hug. I finally got it, Annee was hanging out with Hayes' little sister.

"So this is where you live? I live a street over."

"Yea, I guess are sisters are just as good as friends as we are." We laughed and my mom invited him into the house.

"My sister has been waiting impatiently for me to get home and take her here. I guess her and Annee really like each other." Hayes and I kept making eye contact while him and my mom were chatting. The doorbell rang.

"That must be Megan, I got the door." When I opened it Megan walked right in.

"Maybe it was a good idea to pick your house." She smiled at me then pulled my arm. "I thought you said you and Hayes were just friends?

"His little sister is hanging out with my little sister."

"Maybe you should invite him to hang with us."

"You think so? You'd want that?" Megan smiled and I started to walk over to Hayes.

"Hey, if you want you can come hang with Megan and I while Skylynn and Annee are playing you can." Hayes stood up and started to walk with Megan and I.

"This is your room?" Megan was gawing at the size.

"Yea, my mom told me I could have it."

"Maybe we can help you get a little more settled?" Hayes was really nice and started to help me set my room up a little more.

"Thanks.." We went for the same box and we clinked our heads. "Ouch, sorry I didn't think you were going for this-­" The next thing I knew Hayes was getting me ice for my head.
