We all were listening to what the doctor was about to say.

"Hayes will be going through surgery, his rib cage was torn and we need to fix it, he will
begin surgery tomorrow," the doctor sounded very tired. I looked at Hayes and he was looking at Sky. He was holding her hand because she was about to cry. I let Sky and Hayes talk, I was talking to Nash.

"He will be just fine, I think he went threw worse before in football season. So what even happened?" Nash and I took a seat.

"Well Hayes and I ran into Olivia in the pit Sunday. She took us to the 'party spot' where this Mike kid came up to me and introduced himself. Then when we were leaving he called me beautiful and Hayes punched him. When we were on our way down the trail Mike pulled me from behind and forced me into a kiss, which Hayes saw and got mad at. We got in a fight, but we made up later that night. Today people were saying Mike was gonna fight Hayes in lunch so Hayes called him over to where we were in line. Mike pushed Hayes than Hayes pushed him back. Mike swung and missed and hit Emma, so Hayes beat him up. I separated them and took Mike to the nurse, it was a bad idea. On our way to the nurses' office Mike pinned me and tried to kiss me, but Hayes came out of nowhere and punched Mike. When Hayes got up he turned to me and he had a pocket knife in his side."

"What did the pocket knife look like?"

I gave a confused look. "It was like a reddish black, why?" I got really worried. Nash leaned close to me and whispered to me.

"Hayes had a red and purple tiedie knife." I froze, I could tell I got pale. "He might have pulled it on himself to frame Mike," Nash looked down.

"Or he was going to use it on Mike, and Mike took it and stabbed him." I felt so sick. Why would Hayes stab himself? I might be sick." I went to the bathroom, but I didn't puke.
Liz took Sky home, and Nash stayed with Hayes and I. It was kinda awkward.

"Hayes, I have to be straight up with you. Dallas said the knife was reddish black, you have a pocket knife like that. Did you stab yourself?" Hayes gave Nash a dirt look. "Well did you?"

"No, Mikes knife was purple by the way," he gave me a dirty look, "and I wouldn't stab myself, that's so stupid." I could tell he was mad. "I wouldn't do that." After that I went up to him.

"You seem mad, are you?" I gave him a concerned look.

"Ya a little bit, my girlfriend and my brother think I stabbed myself to frame someone. Remember what you said about trust?" He looked at me.

"That has nothing to do with trust. I only said the knife was reddish black ok? I didn't doubt you. I can't see you doing something like that." I went to go reach his hand, but he pulled it away from me. I felt like he hated me, I was tearing up. "Nash, can you take me home?" My voice was about to crack. I got up and walked over to him. "Please, I'm not wanted here." I looked back at Hayes, he wasn't looking at me. Nash drove me home, or to Hayes' house. When I got inside Liz gave me pizza bagels. "Thanks, I'm going to hang upstairs for the night." Liz just gave me a smile and then I went upstairs. I ate my pizza bagels and looked at my phone. Hayes texted me, it read:
'Look, I'm mad at you for thinking I stabbed myself. I'm not going to lie, I didn't stab myself. I feel like we keep having bumps in the road, and I don't like complicated. As of right now me and you are single, we are only friends, I'll sleep on my futon in my room. I don't like the thought of you being with someone else, but after the recent fight, I will just deal with the pain.'
