You held my hand tight,
you hugged me close,
you told me you never wanted to let go.
You whispered you loved me in my ear.
You kissed my forehead and said goodbye.
That was when you loved me, when you cared about me, when I was your everything.
I remember our fights, our laughs, our cries, our good times, and our bad.
I thought of all people we would be the ones to make it, we seemed so strong, was I blind?
Why didn't I see what was right in front of me?
How did I miss all the signs?
Why didn't I realize I had lost you?
Why does it hurt so much?
Why do I love you still?
How far away can you get before you just disappear?
How can you just move on after everything we've been through and everything I've given you?
