gave away all my trust.
Held unto you for so long,
but in the end, your love turned to dust.
I wanted nothing more than to be yours,
but all you ever had for me was lust.
I swore you were going to be my diamond,
I didn't expect you to be so full of rust.
I still need you and I still love you,
is losing you a must?
Please don't make this over,
because I'm not sure if I'll ever adjust.
How am I supposed to let go?
My heart is now guarded by a thicker layer of crust.
