I take deep breath. Then, I peak over the window once more, and see that the truck was gone.

"Am I fucking tripping or was that saying something about safety?"
I say and look at Trey, but still sitting beneath the window.

"I think they did, but I honestly don't know.. It sounded like they said shelter.."
He looks at me with kinda worried eyes.

"Do you think we should check it out?"
Honestly, I'm more surprised that there's another working car..... I thought I was fucking special and had the only one.

"Umm idk.. Should we?"
He gets up slowly and we move to the living room, so no-one can see us.

I grab my AR and walk to the couch, before sitting down and reloading it and slamming the mag back in.
"Honestly, that minivan looked like some horror movie shit.."
I say laughing, as I remember I'm in the middle of fucking zombie apocalypse.

"Yeah, but it could just be because it's older and that's why it runs."
He says, eats a MRE and laughs.

That's when I hear and see the doorknob wiggle.......

I grab Trey and yank him down, then set my rifle up on the back of the couch he was sitting on. I do the mental checklist; Safety off, mag loaded, slide back, sighted on center mass, and my I finger on the trigger. I watch as the doorknob stops.....

I hear the crowbar slam in to the door, before handing my pistol to trey.
"Go around to the dining room and wait for my shots, then come out if needed."

He nods and runs to the dining room, then I hear the pistol get cocked.

"Wait before you fire, see if it's someone you know."
I think to myself as the door pops open slightly, then someone steps in and I see the M16.

"STEP THE FUCK BACK OR I SWEAR TO GOD YOU DIE TODAY."
I yell and keep my aim on this guy's body, before seeing the four other people behind him.

"Give me all your shit or die."
He says and looks at me.

"Asshole, I might've if you had said please."
I adjust my aim and pull the trigger, then watch as his brains hit the wall.

Before his body hits the floor, I adjust again and fire once more. Aiming for the crowd behind him, then the bullets started ripping through the air around me.....

I laid down and aimed under the couch, before seeing one of them walk up the steps.
I fire two shots into his chest, watching as he tumbles backwards.

"Two down, three to go."
I think myself as bullets hit in front of me, so I run up the steps and look through the glass. Using the height advantage to see them, then I spot one and aim....

I don't pull the trigger, because I realize the glass is distorting my shot, so It'd hit above him. I aim down and fire, watching the grass get painted pink and red. Before moving, as bullets light up my position.

I run back down the steps, before going to fire and my gun jams....

They must've heard it to, because I see them move up the steps and run for the door.
I drop the AR, before reaching down to my ankle and pulling out the .22 pistol. I see their feet from under the couch, so I play dead....

It was my only move, I keep the gun tucked under my leg, with my hand on it.
I lay back and hold my breath, but keep my eyes cracked.
I see the person look down at me, then I see the gun go to move....

I raise the pistol and aim for the knee, then pull the trigger watch as he falls over. I grab his arm and yank him headfirst into the floor, before grabbing his gun and breaking his arm to shove it into his side. Pulling the trigger, I unload the entire clip into his body and watch as it shakes and becomes a holey mess.
