Sometime later I hear Vet's voice.
"He's gonna be just fine, Alpha saved his life."
He says and sighs.
"Nobody better say a damn thing about this wolf anymore."
"Got that right."
I say and open my eyes leaning up.
"RIVER!!!"
Rachel's voice comes from beside me, before I'm wrapped up in a hug.
"Hey there."
I say smiling and hug her.
"Are you ok?
Does anything hurt?"
She asks and looks at me.
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
I say and laugh slightly.
"Good..."
She punches me dead in the shoulder.
"Dumbass, why did you leave without backup?!"
She yells and punches me again.
"Owwwww."
I say and rub my arm slightly.
"Alpha needed food, he needed to hunt."
I grin and whistle, watching as Alpha walks up.
"You ok buddy?"
I ask and rub his head.
He nods quickly, smiling.
"You get full?"
I ask and rub his stomach.
He nods again and his smile widens.
"Good, go get some rest."
I say and pat his back, watching as he turns invisible, just before he walks out the door.
"Now, are you ok?"
I ask and turn to Rachel again.
"I'm fine, why ask?"
She asks confused.
"I was awake for a little bit of it, that allowed me to see you be pushed past your limits...."
I look into her eyes.
"Thank you, you could've been hurt."
I say smiling and rub where she punched.
"It's no problem, you do dumber stuff for all of us everyday."
She says smiling as she walks out, leaving Vet and I alone.
"So, you're training the security force tomorrow morning?"
He asks and leans against the wall.
"Yeah but we have a bigger concern."
I say and look up at him.
"Let's go talk in my office."
He says and offers me a hand up.
I take it and stand up slowly.
"That's probably best."
I say as we walk to his office, then stepping in as we get there.
Vet shuts the door behind me and let's me sit, before pouring himself a glass of scotch.
"You want one?"
He asks and reaches for a second glass.
"No thanks, I'm good."
I say and pop my back, waiting for him to get comfortable.
"So, what do you need to talk about?"
Vet asks as he sits down and takes a sip.
"The Darkness is arming and training forces."
I say and look at him.
"We've known this."
He says and looks at me slightly confused.
"We haven't known it on this scale."
I say and pop my neck.
"It's a full arms locker and he tried to let his 'prodigy' kill me."
I use air quotes around prodigy.
"Prodigy?"
He says and raises an eyebrow.
"I can't really explain it, it's like he gave him all this power and strength.
Then, he just let me kill him."
I say confused and lean back.
"Are you sure he let you?"
Vet asks and takes a sip.
"He trained and conditioned this guy to kill me using his powers, then when given the perfect opportunity, he puts us in a powerless fight."
I say back and let out a deep breath.
"Well...."
He says and tries to come up with something.
"It's weird, that's not the problem though."
I say and look over at Vet.

The Alpha Omega.
AksiThis is my version of the apocalypse. I didn't write this so I can become famous or so anyone will like me more. I wrote those, because it's the story I wanted to write. If you don't like it, don't read it.
