"Where are we going?"
Serena asks from behind me."The gas station up here.
I want some beef jerky."
I say smiling and look back.Alpha nods and moves along beside me.
"Am I gonna get some snacks?"
Serena asks laughing a little."Get whatever you want."
I say back and pat Alpha on the head.
"Go up there and scout for me, howl if there's trouble."
I say and rub his head.He nods with his tongue out, before taking off at Alpha speed.
"Damn, that dog can run."
Serena says from behind me."He's an Alpha."
I say and look back at her."No way."
She says as her mouth drops."Did you think animals just randomly started to understand humans?"
I ask and look at her, trying to hide my laugh."Shut up, I didn't know."
She says and punches my arm.Alpha comes running back, before coming up and licking my hand.
"Safe?"
I say and look down.Alpha nods and starts walking forward.
I walk beside him and wave Rachel forward, as we take off to the gas station.
"Are you looking for anything other than beef jerky?"
Serena asks, staying at the ready."Stuff to raise the morale of a few hundred people, got anything?"
I ask and look beside me."Snacks?"
She says and looks up."We'd need more backpacks."
I say and look away."Unless...."
Serena says as she gets an idea."Unless what?"
I ask and look over intrigued."I overheard Haley say something about teleportation powers.."
She says and looks away."Yeah, how would that help?"
I ask and try to think of any way it
could.
"I think you're just trying to get out of training."
I say smiling."Shut up, I'm actually trying to make a bunch of people happy."
She says laughing as we approach the store."Setup your idea and let's do it."
I say as I grab her and Alpha, then teleport inside of the store.
My eyes scan and I find the beef jerky.
I walk over to the counter and grab some shopping bags, before starting to load all of it.Alpha walks over and looks up at me.
"Anything specific I should get for you?"
I ask and rub his head.Alpha shakes his head and walks to the door.
I finish loading the beef jerky, before tossing the four bags to a pile.
Serena's already got a pile of bags made, that's stacked a few feet high.
"How you doing, Serena?"
I ask and look over."Great, sir."
She says and grabs more candy."Alpha, how's the the front looking?"
I ask and look over at him.He barks softly and nods.
"Good, bark if you see anything."
I say and start grabbing cigarettes and dip.
Clearing out every pack and can there is."Serena? You ready?"
I yell and look around.Silence.
"Alpha, block the door."
I say and walk off of the cashier's platform, before turning left and seeing Serena.
There's a man with a 9mm Beretta to her head.
