Kenji...
'Time does take its toll', I hoped, because against Gabu any advantage is a gift from heaven. Gabu was quite excited about this, and to top it all up, three riders were about to race, me , Gabu and Shadow, just to increase the tension. Well, I guess, the more the riders, the more the losers, because I have improved, I know I have.
Taiga stepped in, he was hiding something, well it seemed that way.
"Do you want to say something, Taiga?" I asked.
"I really am....astounded by your naive attitude. How could you accept the challenge? You know he will break you completely" said Taiga.
"Come on, why would he want to destroy me, he doesn't even know who I am" I replied.
"DONT EVER UNDERESTIMATE GABU! He probably knows already. No, not probably, definitely" he literally screamed that.
"How could he know, Anyway that's not supposed to scare me" and I wish I hadn't said that. Taiga's pupils dilated and he walked towards me, held my shoulder so tightly I could hardly feel it, "Don't think he's an idiot. That was my mistake" he said these words so seriously, I felt uneasy and he sighed and continued, "Have you ever gone back to the memory of the day of your challenge at the trials bike championship."
"Why is that relevant?" I said my voice trembling.
Then Taiga smirked, that was the first time I had seen him do that, his brother was better at it, but he wasn't bad either, that smile sent chills up my smile. He looked down first and released my shoulder, then as I was about to take a deep breath, he took my collar and lifted me up. My neck felt choked, which is when he said in a low voice, enhancing the ominous atmosphere "It was the same reply, the same question and the same reply" at this he let go of my collar and I felt gravity take me down. "Why do you think he asked, ' Have I seen you somewhere, Mister?' to have a joke..."
Then I got it, and could have repented that my entire life. H e obviously figured out who I was and now I was going to get beaten blue and black.
Well, the situation was quite out of hand, I was sure Shadow had something up his sleeve, as in literally, I could hear movement of metal as I stood next to him. Gabu made a grand entrance, I was all suited up when he came and said, "Dash, Set, Let's Go."
We were in the outskirts of X-City, the race track ran through a forest and the trees formed a canopy over there, so Shadow could attack me without Taiga realising at the right time.
So it happened, a few moments ago, I started our race and Gabu took the lead, I followed him and Shadow followed me. No matter how hard I tried, I could not catch up with him. After we were completely covered by the trees, Gabu turned around and nodded, like a reflex Shadow started slowing down. Not much happened after this, rocks and branches, along with a river were my obstruction, I wasn't used to these type of races, so hesitantly I jumped over these objects. Then I reached a point where I lost Shadow completely and Gabu was just about to lose me, when I realised ' Now or Never'. I pedalled with all my might, when Gabu said something, "Bloody Impact!", I didn't hear this quite clearly because, as soon as these words ended, Gabu was surrounded by a ball of, what I can call red energy. Slowly, this ball started expanding.
What a happened next is a bit unclear, since I don't remember much, except the fact that in moments I was thrown off my bike and was on the ground, covered with bruises. My head started bleeding and there was shot of pain on my right calf muscle. Pain shot through my body immediately, I was in extreme agony. Gabu didn't say a word and moved on, a few seconds later Shadow passed me and taunted me by saying " Idiot! That's what happens when you mess with Lord Gabu."
"Lord Gabu, you have got to be joking!" I said, I don't know why or how, but the fact that I was going to lose to such a heartless tyrant, charged me up. The memories of people being whipped, beaten and killed flashed in front of my eyes and without a second's time, I remounted my bike and was off. My leg still was in pain but it was nothing in comparison to the pain of the people. My bike was charged up as well and I could feel the energy around me, it was shooting into me like a blood flow, my emotions fuelled my bike.
"Light it up! Blaze Phoenix" I screamed as the bike gained extreme speed like a cannonball being shot. It happened even quicker than Gabu's attack, before I blinked I felt being pushed by something and then when I opened my eyes, I saw myself at the finishing line. Gabu was way ahead, and without his helmet, he stared at me with awe, Taiga came riding soon and was equally blank seeing me there before Shadow. Shadow soon reached the line, but what was odd was that after he took off his helmet, he was smiling. The Four Kings had followed Taiga and were smiling too.
But when I finally dismounted the bike I don't really know what happened, it seemed like I had lost the energy to smile and then without a response blacked out falling directly into Taiga's arms.
Taiga...
This was a bit odd, after winning it seemed that Kenji had lost all his energy and was unconscious, my assistants at my signal immediately went to get an ambulance. Usually, I would ask for a first aid box, but against 'Bloody Impact' I was surprised, he was breathing. I was, obviously, in my mind insulting Gabu to my heart's content. I mean, 'why?' he could have won without that, plus Shadow's torture, he didn't have to finish it with something so powerful.
Kenji was bleeding, his head was at a severe condition, I sat down on the ground holding him, when I heard those four kings and Shadow laughing at, what they called, stupidity, how dare they. If it weren't for Gabu, I would have punched them and broken teeth out. But, then it wasn't Gabu that stopped me, it was just that an innocent boy was in my hands in extreme agony.
Finally, the ambulance, placed him on the trolley and rushed through to the hospital. I was going to turn around and give those guys a big thrashing, including Gabu and then "SILENCE! Show some respect to your opponents!"
