Kenji...
" I guessed he would assign you that mission" were Taiga's words. How could he possibly have guessed that, it's completely unpredictable. What were the chances, huh?
That, Gabu, he purposely did this. No wonder he most gladly accepted me, I don't care what Taiga said.
Well this is basically what happened a few days back, in the Team ST Headquarters, X city...
Taiga, very casually handed me the folder, which a while ago, Gabu was holding.
He said, " If that's what he's decided, who am I to say otherwise. But, you'll need some stuff before that, follow me."
The supposed 'mission' I had just read through, left me baffled. I followed like a drone and Taiga led me to a room full of riding gear and parts. So this is what paradise looks like.
He showed me a array of accessories, with the team ST emblem engraved, in all its glory. It was obvious, but I still asked, "Yo expect me to wear one of these?"
"Not quite, I order you to wear one of these " replied Taiga.
Well that made my heart skip a beat, something wrong with these siblings, how can they always make a guy shut up, with just a sentence. Anyway, I decided to stay on the better side of Taiga and quickly picked up a forehead protector. Which I quickly managed to tie.
"That's astonishing" said Taiga.
"Huh?" I replied and stared  at him.
"I was sure you would take the one tied on the arm like an armlet, I mean that's what you're brother would have chosen" he replied.
I thought for a while, but actually I knew the answer quite well and so I replied,
"Among the few things I learned from my Gabu, I think this is the most important one. I don't HAVE to be my BROTHER. I can be myself and that's all I need. Don't get me wrong, I love Kyoichi and treating him the way Gabu treats you is out of the question. But, I think I can be more me than be like him. So I've decided, my brother maybe my goal and inspiration but at the end of the day, I wanna be me. I am sure Kyoichi would want that too."
"Glad you realised it, but to think Gabu is the on who got you on the right track is rather ironic" stated Taiga with his usual and kind smile covering his face.
"Hey, Taiga..." I was about to say when he interrupted, " Yes, I know Kyoichi, that's exactly why he decided to not help you in your challenge against Gabu."
He went on speaking, " Kyoichi, isn't really the type to be angry because of such trivial conflict. He is the kind of person who believes,' you shouldn't make promises, you can't keep', that's why he was slightly...displeased. The trophy wasn't yours to bet in the first place, but you let your anger get the best of you, Kyoichi simply wanted to teach you a lesson."
Taiga's an awesome company, it was like being with my own brother, if Gabu only listened to his brother more, I am sure, he'd begin to love him.
Anyway, my next gifts were clothes, I was handed a violet shirt with golden borders and a pair of black shorts. He also gave me  the medium level guards for elbow and knee, black gloves and most importantly, a helmet. He told me, that Gabu had it specifically made for me, it was navy but that could barely be seen because of the graphics of a Phoenix, burning, blazing in all its glory.
I had to thank Gabu for that. Finally, Taiga had given me a huge black cloak. He asked me to tie it around my neck and it had a hood. He said I could even use it like a blanket and I really could. It extended all the way to my heels. He supplied me with with black sneakers with spikes and finally a Camera. Wait, why did I need that?
I gave Taiga, the puzzled look and he said,
" I hope you haven't forgotten, that's your MISSION."
And so I was, back in the present, tailing my targets. I was riding Blaze Phoenix, and I kept my targets in the vicinity. My mission was to take images of my targets, when they were racing. Bike parts would be weekly given to me along with food, medicines and other supplies.
Oh I forgot to mention the most important line of the folder,
Mission- Reconnaissance.
