The Masked Rider...
' This IS disappointing. Sho Yamato. You lost to an amateur rider like this after your inspiring race against the Captain. But then I take this guy out, Shin the Shadow, it's doesn't come as a surprise that he always gives a surprise against all kinds of opponents.'
" You failed to take the words of the mechanic seriously and you made the most amateur mistake of underestimating your opponent. To top it all, You are the owner of the PLATINUM EMBLEM" I said to the little kids who stared in awe as I jumped down, cloak flying with my my right palm touching the ground.
" Shut up, you have no idea what I am going through!" replied the hot-headed kid, consumed by rage.
"Such arrogance" I retaliated.
' You've got some nerve to be blaming me, Sho Yamato' I thought.
" How preposterous, if I were you I would be apologising to the one, who would give such a crucial duty, to a kid. Such an important part to the hands of a kid, or should I go to the extent, a BRAT" I replied.
Silence engulfed the young kids, the highly dangerous creature they carry around and Shin the Shadow, as for me, I didn't know what I said till I did and the point of taking them back had passed.
'My anger got the better of me again, but this time it'll be different, this time I' ll atone for my mistakes.' I thought and quite boldly announced, " So you're Shin the Shadow,eh? You're pretty infamous around these parts. Care to show me, you're supposedly, frightening skills?"
" So you're trying to help out this kid are you? Fine by me, cause that just adds another emblem to my list" he replied.
' The confidence, what's with this guy? He's going to go up against an unknown opponent, for someone so good at riding, isn't he being a bit too carefree? I wonder...Shin the Shadow, what the hell did you pull off that you defeated an idaten bike.' I thought as I followed him towards his drive launcher.
Hosuke...
'The masked rider seems to be always there when you need him. Technically, I would agree Sho was way too over confident, but then, those words were just cruel. But I had caught a glimpse of something, a while ago. A shadowed figure, had just slipped behind a huge rock, I felt like it was watching us, but when I swiftly flew over there, there was no one. I believe the mind plays terrible tricks when under tension.' I was thinking as the preparations to the race were almost over.
That boy's voice will forever resonate, it's like he took a sword and carved it onto my eardrums," Roar now. King of Thunder. Like a bolt of lightning, pierce through the entire UNIVERSE...Idaten Go!!!"cried out our mysterious friend as he began the race. Lot like he said, the bike did start into a very quick lead, he slowly let his opponent take the lead.
" if you think of slowing down and observing me, I am afraid you won't catch up, mate" said Shin the Shadow as he took the lead and jumped over the huge hole that was on the bridge. Now, the impact of his jump made it an even bigger hole.
"No way, he can't make that jump" said the four-eyed kid,Kakeru.
"He will" replied Makoto, this young lady didn't just hope he would, but her voice made a clear assurance that she knew he would. Almost like she had see the future, Makoto's words came true like a charm, the Masked Rider did indeed make it, but with such ease depicted by his muscles, one could easily say, this boy was an excellent rider.'
" The hole's bigger than before, but he still made it, did you see that Sho?" asked Kakeru.
The race continued and Shin the Shadow kept turning almost every second at his new opponent, the kids and I followed them, we went around towards another bridge and kept the racers in vicinity. As they crossed the first tunnel, almost the same thing happened, however this time Shin was in the lead but when they came out the distance between them increased greatly.
"So that's how you did it" said the Masked Rider and turned his bike around, he was cycling backwards now, back towards the starting point.
Much to our surprise, another bike, an exact copy of Shin's appeared out of nowhere. The masked rider wasted no time and followed the second Shin, however this Shin made an error in his worry, he took the route that lead to the original race course. Now the roots, slowed both the Shin's down, yet the same could not be said about our masked friend.
"He hasn't touched his breaks, darn it. He's fine by just shifting gears. He's not even flinching in such a dangerous location, what and who on earth is this guy?"screamed Sho.
"Shut it!!"replied a clearly angry, Makoto.
"He's not new to obstacles, this is a piece of cake to him, he's spent his life racing against obstacles like this" she explained.
Makoto...
' I know these skills. I know that power, I know that technique and style.... I know this guy, he's....' I thought as the masked rider jumped on the head of one of the Shin's, they were awe struck and collided immediately. The masked rider, now, beyond the finishing line, sat on his bike, eyes fixed in the two cheaters.
"You broke the rules of an Idaten battle and switched riders in the middle of a race. That's unforgivable" said the rider.
"Please don't tell anyone, we'll be doomed if you do, I beg you" said the two Shin's and as the helmets came off, I was amazed to see, not only did they wear the same riding suit and use similar bikes, they, themselves were also identical. They were twins.
"What do you say?Sho Yamato?" asked the masked rider.
Sho was hesitant at first, but finally said, "If you promise to never do this again, then fine, but if you continue this dirty work, you're toast."
The rider was about to leave and said," Go north, you're bike sustained heavy damage in that race. A very famous mechanic stays ahead, take it to him." He didn't look at us and threw back Sho's emblem. He showed us the two emblems of Shin the Shadow and said," I took them during the race. Since they took yours by unfair means, you can have it back", as he began to pedal I decided to make my move," Wait are you?My...brother?"
He ignored my question and simply said,"Sho Yamato, this won't be the last time we meet. Until then, goodbye." Then he was gone, riding into the setting sun, which is when Sho said something to remind us he's himself again," I want to race that guy."
I kept staring long, I still wasn't sure whether he was my brother or not, but I knew one thing, we could trust this guy.
Slightly far from Sho's group, stood the mysterious figure Hosuke had spotted and he thought to himself,' That was close, now I know why he's scared of them, birds are much more alert than I thought them to be'
