"But, when did he?" I said as my opponent just appeared out of nowhere, yet ahead of me. This wasn't the first time, throughout the race, as soon as I entered those weird tree tunnel-like things, he was always behind me but when I came out he appeared before me. Is this what Shin the Shadow does, can he merge his shadow with the surroundings and transport using magic or something like that. But I didn't have time to admire this sorcerer, I had to beat him.
"Sho, watch out!" screamed Makoto.
Which is when I realised my current situation, it was a no win situation, my tire was stuck in the oversized roots and that guy was a foot away from the finish line. But, I won't give up, " Do it, Flame Kaiser!" I screamed as my bike did nothing and I lost balance because of my screaming.
'Oh come on, do that fiery thing like you did in the first race. Do you need magic words or something, oh I know.'
" PLEASE do something" I screamed because I was sure Lady Makoto would murder me if I lose.
But, that is, if I don't already die as I was falling off the tree, which was like three floor high.

It's been around five minutes, since we found Sho and his bike saved by a branch. The cowboy-looking guy was waiting to take Sho's emblem, Makoto was waiting to beat him to a pulp, while I was praying he wakes after Makoto calmed down. While our companion, the owl, Hosuke was glaring at Sho's opponent.
We all found this race, well, the word would be fishy. Makoto knew this too, but she was of the opinion that if Sho hadn't accepted the challenge none of this would have happened.
I guess, she too was right. This is when Sho woke up, Makoto walked up to him and said "Well done, now we're never getting back" her voice was so serious, Sho even started feeling guilty. He couldn't even look her in the eye.
"Now,now you're not the first to be defeated by Shin the Shadow" said Shin as he ran his fingers through his hair. The braggart was getting on my nerves.
Makoto too gave him 'the glare', but Sho stood up and handed him the emblem.
"But Sho" said Hosuke.
"You're right, Makoto, this IS my fault" he replied. He was so full of self-loathe that he tightened his fists and just looked up to Shin and said "You're a great rider, sorry I wasn't much of a challenge."
Shin smiled tauntingly and said "Now,now, we don't need the water works."
" Really, how pathetic!" said a known voice as we all raised our heads to find the masked rider on top of a one storey building.
