Sho...

" These kids have no idea what the X-Zone is, knowing that fact you challenge them, you ever heard of the words 'playing fair'" said the man with the helmet. His voice was taunting and if that was what he was trying to do, it was working. The Road King seemed completely disgusted.

"I do, what I do....If you are so bothered, why don't you explain it to them" said the Road King.

I was, definitely confused, why would a guy wear that many guards and that abnormal cape in such extreme heat. Kakeru and Makoto though, I guessed were not confused for the same reason. The guy went on, and I must complement his skills, how on Earth or not on Earth can he withstand such heat.

" This place is called the X-Zone, we were all from your world but we all got stuck in that dark fog and were taken here. Idaten Battles are MTB races which win you emblems. If you win the opponents emblem is yours, but if you lose you will have to surrender your emblem. 10 silver..." he said when a rowdy guy interrupted him.

"He won't need to know that. He's gonna lose anyway" said the King.

"You mustn't underestimate your opponents, old man" he replied. "Mr.Yamato here, just might surprise you."

"Get the Drive Launcher ready!" said the King as he bit his lips.

I was empty, Drive Launcher, does this place have launchers like for Rockets and Formula 1 racers are shot out of them. To put it logically, a rocket launches and a driver drives, normal cars won't have such launchers so it was obvious, Formula 1 race cars. But the thing is, does the man with a plat want to have a car race against an MTB.

" You really are low, challenging a kid with a Drive Launcher" said Helmet Head. The name fits, but wait, "I have question for you, masked man" I asked.

"What?" he replied.

"Oi, boys get him a drive launcher too" commanded the King.

I was really thinking about my question, really hard, but the King distracted me and it struck me " I forgot the question, sorry" I said as I rubbed my head and Kakeru and Makoto fell on the ground.

"How on Not-Earth can you think of joking at a time like this?" asked Makoto.

"I wasn't joking, the question was important but the idea that I get a launcher distracted me and I forgot." The first part, I said scolding Makoto but when she heard the last part of it, her fingers formed a fist and I thought I'd write a note stating the name of my murderer, but, I was saved by the the man of hope, climbing down from the heavenly mountain of junk.

He handed me something quite familiar, "Sho Yamato, put this helmet on"

" Ahaa, I got it" I had finally got it, something that was slipping out of my fingers.

What had Sho understood, does he know, who this guy is, cause his voice sounds so familiar.Kakeru, me and the masked man waited for his question eagerly.

" And the 'it' is....How do you know my name, Mister?" I asked, eagerly waiting for his reply.

" That doesn't matter, you need to win this race. I won't help you, if you lose." He replied in an arrogant tone, with a drop of sweat hanging near his temple and his eyes closed.

Makoto looked like she was going to murder me, if the arrogant, Know-it- all didn't start explaining how to use the Launcher. I could feel the power of this device, by just looking at it. This was going to be cool.

" Dash, set, let's go"

"We have to give it our best shot Kakeru" said Makoto, while both of them pulled the levers back and forth, pumping the powerful machine into action.
