You have to hand it to Sho, he's useless when it comes to anything beyond MTB. Therefore, me and Kakeru always have to help him out, or perhaps knock him out, either way gets the job done. Kakeru, may be good at fixing an MTB but his leg muscles are pathetically weak, but anyhow we've managed to get here.
Mr. Rantaro happened to be an extremely kind man and like they say, the kind one's are always picked on. Right after we came into his workshop, a bunch thugs came and complained about his custom made tyres and as compensation began looting his shop. Of course, Sho stopped that spiky haired guy,but...
HE ENDED UP CHALLENGING THAT GUY TO AN IDATEN BATTLE.
I would have given him a pounding but this Kakeru really got angry, for which his answer was that 'I had to do something '.
I understand, Mr.Rantaro's claim that that tyre could not have that badly punctured and I believe him. It was so obvious that those guys were lying, but Miss Yuki warned us. Since, Sho's is a platinum emblem, he will be frequently challenged and in many cases ambushed. But, Sho Yamato being who he is probably forgot all of that.
"That is kind of you, but I really cannot ask you to do this"said Mr. Rantaro as he handed us all a glass of water.
"I don't understand you people " Sho replied, although I am sure it's us who don't understand him.
"I didn't accept that race just to save your shop, of course I will restore your reputation by winning and I will use your tyres to do it. But... I accepted that race....because.... I love MTB riding, it's not about these specific challenges, it's just for the fun of it. When I ride Flame  Kaiser, I feel a burning sensation in me, like an energy, it's like...I can ride around the world and still not be tired"
Although Sho's usually dense, I really did understand what he meant, me and Kakeru looked at each other and just gave the it-can't-be- helped smile. Hosuke simply nodded his head and smiled as though he had after a long and hard search found a reason to like Sho's idiocy.
"That burning sensation you're referring to is called passion, and although I've met countless riders, I've met only one with your kind of passion. Then, it's decided! I know you'll give it your best so I won't give you reason to complain" said Mr. Rantaro enthusiastically as he raised his fist.

As expected those despicable fools got themselves involved in another challenge and as I just saw their opponents trying to lay traps, I could guess this would be bad.
Their race course was a volcanic cone, it didn't seem very active, but one never knows and those cracks in the crater released steam. To sum it up, although I specialise in the trial course, this was a track even I would avoid.
As Makoto came out I ceased the opportunity and stated,"the race...it's a trap."
She was kinda taken aback by the sudden voice, but by the time she would use her wits to come up with an answer, I left.
Kenji...
"Well, I saw a spiky haired person enter the shop, and when he came out, he said 'damn that kid '.His  buddies said something about a race , so that's it. Oh and, I need a medical kit, Taiga."I spoke all this slowly, Taiga didn't really say much, he just nodded and said 'OK'.
My report was done and I had gone back and bought myself a trailer, although I was alone, I needed to sleep, hence the trailer.
By the time I got back, I could see Makoto and Kakeru sleeping and that Percy old owl, snoring on my sister's shoulder. Sho was awake and at the dead silence of the night, I decided, eavesdropping is a necessity for a spy.
"I usually stayed up with my father when he was building Flame Kaiser, so I am used to running late" said Sho.
The mechanic guy, I guess Rantaro, replied,"So it was your father who introduced you into MTB, I see. But even so, 2am is pushing it, you have a big race tomorrow, better get your beauty sleep."
Sho said "Hmm" and after a few minutes, I heard him standing up laying down on nearby his bike.
Makoto...
I trust that rider, but, I had decided not to demoralise Sho, but then, this is crazy. This place is fuming, I knew near the volcano, but this isn't near it's on the volcano.
I scanned the surrounding area, it was barren, nothing grew, which is kinda obvious for a volcano, but Mr. Rantaro had said this volcano was extinct.
Forget extinct, it seemed active enough to blow up any moment.
A thought occurred to me at this time, which also occurred to two other people at the same time, one who was older and another who was younger, however I didn't know these two were there, but the thought was...' I have a BAD feeling about this '
