Tenderly I peeled myself away from Ace, resting back into the warm water until a gentle tug brought me unwillingly back into his arms.

“Ace,” I whined pathetically, eyeing the steamy water with longing. That’s totally not fair.

“You sit down. Don’t get that bandage wet, or I will have to kill you,” Ace grumbled, planting my ass down on the slippery bathtub edge.

For God’s sakes!

“I’m not a kid,” I said grumpily, huffily flicking my slightly dampened hair to the side. I wanted so badly just to get into the water now cascading over Ace’s stunning naked body but of course, I ‘wasn’t allowed’. So instead I simply watched as Ace washed himself, the soapy streams trailing smoothly over porcelain skin, clinging to his clear cut features.

This is bad.

In complete stillness, I gazed silently at the breathtaking scene. It was like all my worst nightmares and fairytale dreams stacked into one.

You are NOT turned on by this!

How could you not be….

ANDREW! FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE….

Like that particularly well placed drop of water on the wall… or that one… right… there

Swallowing I tried to tear my eyes away, a soft sigh breaking past my lips as Accel tipped his head back, the water washing away the last of the conditioner from his hair, rinsing over his jaw and trickling down his neck. I followed the clear trail downwards, over his chest, past each subtle curve of his ribs, flowing in spurts over barely defined stomach muscles with a smooth cover of pale skin. Down, down, down it travelled, dipping in his navel and finally spilling out and determinedly downwards. Lower and lower until…

Oh God.

Breathless, I stared helplessly as Ace caressed up his thigh, rubbing softly over a perfectly formed hip sending more clear droplets rushing to there.

Mmm… I thought mindlessly, a slight pain stinging my lip when my teeth bit down to hard. As I gazed at him, he lifted his gaze, smouldering emerald heat burning from under a pitch black fringe, crystal droplets caught on thick eyelashes. A tiny smirk tugged at his lips, the corner of the full mouth pulling into a teasing kiss he aimed in my direction.

Shutting my eyes, I wrenched my eyes from the gorgeous sculpture before me, focusing instead on my trembling fingers and attempting to block out the whisper that sounded over the running water.

“AJ…” Ace called softly, slender digits tracing the curve of my jaw to cup gently under my chin. “Don’t be shy.” The lightest of kisses fluttered over my lips and I gasped when his teeth tugged at the flesh of my ear. Tingles of need shivered over my body and I leaned into his touch, wanting to slap myself all the while.

You do NOT enjoy this.

But I do…. So much…

Shaking slightly, my hand lifted up hesitantly and placed it against his slippery skin, straight over his heart. I could feel it beating beneath my palm, a steady thump… healthy and strong. Silently I wondered what mine would feel like; weak and soft probably.

Non-existent…

You’re so weak.

Ace had stopped his gentle teasing, instead he kneeled before me, noting the sadness that had somehow seeped over my body. I didn’t know why or how it had happened, but it suddenly struck me like a heavy roll of thunder, washing over my body so abruptly it was as if I had suddenly been cast into a deep, dark pit with the sunlight rapidly fading away.
