~Harry's POV~
My fingers nervously danced on the steering wheel of Marcel's black Camero. He let me borrow it for the night and I was waiting in Emily's driveway. She had run back inside to grab something she forgot.
She looked so cute in her dark blue peacoat and her skinny jeans with dark brown boots.
Slow down you're getting ahead of yourself Harry. You don't really know her yet.
"Got what you need?" I smile as a cold rush of air hits me and she slides into the car.
"Yep!" She waves a purse and buckles. She should know she doesn't need money. I was going to pay for everything anyway.
"Cool. I've got this place in mind that Marcel mentioned. It isn't far from here and then we can go see a movie of your choosing." I put the car into reverse.
"Nice!" She says and looks out the window. We fall into an uncomfortable silence.
How do you turn on the radio in here? I reach for the dial and jab at it trying to turn it on. I can't quite figure it out and almost miss a stop sign.
"Whoa. Let me help you out there." Emily says reaching towards the stereo, our hands briefly touch and I pull away quickly. She doesn't seem to mind as she expertly hits the dials and music comes on the radio, filling the silence.
"Thanks." I laugh nervously.
Way to go Harry.
"No problem at all!" She chuckles and starts to sing along. It takes me a minute to recongize the song. That's because I hear my own voice singing.
"You like One Direction?" I ask, making small talk.
"Yes I love them." Her face looks thoughtful. "Well I love you guys."
"Really? Who is your favorite?"
"Louis." She says looking at me, waiting for a reaction. I just smile at her.
"He's my favorite too." I wink at her.
"Well I've figured that much!" She laughs obviously referring to 'Larry'.
"Yeah. It was cool at first, but now it's just old." I admit.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up a sore subject or anything." She says and lays her hand lightly on my shoulder. I flinch at first because a girl hasn't been sweet to me in awhile. Like really sweet, someone that really cares.
"No! It's not your fault at all. I was just saying that it gets too overwhelming sometimes."
"I can understand. Well not really, but almost. Actually you're my favorite." She sighs.
"Really? Why did you say Louis was?"
"I thought it might seem a little weird. I didn't want to freak you out and make you think that I was going to be some sort of crazed fan."
"Trust me. I know you aren't. But I'm glad I'm your favorite." We exchange smiles.
We arrive at the restaurant Marcel told me about. The Cabin. I feel a little bad about being here since this is where the Jimmy incident happened but Marcel said it was okay.
I park the car and get out, hurrying to open Emily's door. She sees me coming around, but she opens the door anyway. I jump out of the way avoiding getting hit by the door.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" Emily says stepping out. I can see her holding back a smile.
"No you're not. You totally did that on purpose." I poke her shoulder.
"Okay, fine. I did." She finally cracks a smile. "I just don't like when guys open the door for me.It's a nice thought though, so thank you."
"Ahh, independent. I like that in women!" I smile and offer her my elbow. She takes it smiling and we walk into the restaurant. The hostess smiles at me, but looks confused.
"Weren't you in here earlier sir?" Her head slightly turned to the side.
"No. I think you have me confused for my twin?"
"That could be it. Sorry. Anyway, two right?" I nod at her and then we follow her to a table in the back. The lights are dimmer back here, and there is more candles at the table. How perfect for a first date.
We end up talking about everything and anything. Really just getting to know each other. I feel like I've let go of all of my secrets. The best part is, I know she won't go running off to tell anyone.
It's like I already trust her, she's just so easy to talk to . After dinner we head of to the movies. She picks a scary film and we sit in the back of the theater.
"I love scary movies!" She says excited. I reach for her hand and she grips onto mine. Her hand fits perfectly in mine. Not too small and not as big.
"Me too. Especially when I see them with a pretty girl." I had been feeding her compliments all night and she had been bashfully accepting them, throwing a few adorables back at me. She was perfect.
I can see her smile in the dark as the lights dim and the movie starts. My arm snakes around the back of her seat. She doesn't seem to mind as she cuddles into me during the scary parts of the movie.
Before I know it, my lips are pressed against hers. Moving in sync with each other as I pull her into me.
