~Marcel~

"Ember, we're at the hotel." I gently shake her shoulder and kiss her beatiful face. If we were at home, I would just carry her in, but I don't think she'd like to wake up in public like that.

She wakes and sits herself up, leaning on me.

"That was quick." She mumbles before reaching for Emily's phone that had fallen onto the floor. I would have gotten it for her earlier, but Ember was asleep on my lap and I didn't want to wake her. Emily didn't seem to mind because she was driving anyway.

"Yeah." I answer even though I think she might have been just talking out loud.

Harry and Emily had already gone inside the hotel to check in. The hotel was an older building, in fact it was so old that it still had a "We Have Colored TV!" sign out front. It seemed like a charming little hotel.

"Marcel?" Ember calls my attention back to her.

"What?" I reach for the phone she's handing me. It's a text from an unknown sender.

Marcel told us everything. We're so glad you're alive. We want you back home. Please. We do however understand that this might not be possible for you. Stay safe with Emily, Harry, and Marcel. We love you, Angel.

-Mom and Dad

"Yeah I texted them."

"You did? Why didn't you tell me you were going to do this?" Ember half pouts.

"I wasn't going to wake you. You needed your rest, all of this has really taken a toll on you." Her eyes soften.

"I know you care about me and everything, but Marcel that's my family. Those are my parents. I would have rather done it myself and explained rather than my boyfriend do it. Besides you said you didn't want to have that chance of them calling the police or something." She puts her hand gently on my thigh.

"Sorry, I just.." I mutter and she shushes me by pressing her lips onto mine. My hands immediately slide around her waist and pull her closer to me as we start to move our lips faster. Her tongue hits my lips softly and I open myself to her letting her in. Before I know it, I'm mirroring her actions and I'm lost in this moment.

A rapid tap on the glass behind me makes Ember shoot away from me. I can feel my face droop, but I turn around to the noise. The windows had fogged up during our makeout session so I wipe away the fog to reveal a smiling Emily.

She opens the door and the cool air rushes in, ruining whatever of the moment was left.

"What were you two up to?" She raises her eyebrow and smirks.

I glare at her, but can't help but break and start to laugh.

"C'mon. Harry is waiting in one of the rooms since he can't do any heavy lifting." Emily walks around to the back and lifts up the door.

I look at Ember and she just shrugs, there isn't any emotion on her face. It's starting to worry me. She leaves the car and so do I. We both walk around to the back and grab as many bags as we can carry. My arm hurts a little, but we can't be going that far.

"Great! We've got everything." Emily beams and shuts the back. She leads the way into the hotel with Ember and I trailing behind. Ember is in front of me and I watch the way she stares up at the old building. She looks like she's nervous again, yet mesmerized.

"E..." I quiet myself and just let her continue on. Maybe she just moved too fast back there. She did say the other night that she wanted to take 'us' slow and cherish every moment. I however will always cherish all my moments with her, no matter when they happen or what it is.

Emily stops and holds the door open for us. The lobby looks about as old as the building, sixites and seventies furniture is mixed about the large room. I have to admit that it does look like everything is in good shape seeing as there must have been a lot of people that passed through here.

The young woman sitting behind the big wooden desk looks up from her magazine. Her eyes catch mine and they widen. She clearly must be confused. I see Ember's head turn the woman's way and she imediatily averts her eyes back to the magazine. Laughter bubbles up, but I try to hold it in. Ember must have given her a death glare for looking at me.

How strange is that? Someone was checking out nerdy Marcel and his girlfriend gave them a glare.

Then again, I wasn't exactly a nerd anymore. From the contacts that Harry helped me get, to the clothes he bought me, I was changing.

It feels so good and it's really thanks to Ember.

I love Ember.

Emily scurries ahead of us and pushes the button on the elevator. Thank god we don't have to take the stairs, my arm is about to give out.

We all crowd in and Emily presses the number 3 button. The door closes leaving us in silence.

"So we are on the third floor huh?" I ask trying to make small talk. Ember looks over to Emily.

"Yeah. Harry was really picky. He demanded that we stay on the third floor. I don't know why." Emily shrugged as I mentally picture my brother telling the clerk this. I laugh.

"Ha-ha. Very funny." Emily smiles and shakes her head. The elevator stops and the doors open. The hallway is dimly lit and the carpet seems a bit stained.

Typical.

"Okay, the one at the very end on the left is for you two and the one to the left of your door is mine and Harry's. You can just set our things inside, Marcel. Then you can head of to your room and finish whatever you two were doing." She winks at us and knocks on the door. Ember is blushing, but smiles up at me.

That's better.

"I'm coming." Harry's muffled voice sounds and he pulls open the door a minute later. I hope his back is okay.

"Hey guys." He smiles at us and then notices Ember blushing. "What are you blushing for?"

This causes Ember to blush even more.

"Shut up, Harold." I scold. I want to toss his bags at him, but I know I can't do that. He just laughs and steps aside so I can set his things down.

"Here's your key." Emily comes back from the middle of the room and hands me the small key.

"Alright guess we will be going." I say to Harry, and Ember and I leave. The two call out goodnights before they shut the door.

"Tired?" Ember nods as I unlock our door. This room is similar to Harry's but the bed sheets are different. It has a 70's feel to it.

Ember plops herself down on the bed. I snicker because she's so cute.

"Stop laughing at me and come here and cuddle." She mumbles into the blanket she's now pulling up to her chin.

I drop my things and strut over to ths bed with new found confidence.

"Cuddling is a dollar!" I tease and stick my hand out for her payment. She giggles at me and grabs my hand pulling me down on top of her.

She's lucky it was my good arm.

"Well hello there." I wink as I push myself up and off of her.

"No, stay here, baby." She whines. She must be really tired.

"Fine." I say liking the way she called me baby, and settle down on top of her. We lay like this for awhile. My head on her chest as it rises and falls. Her heartbeat matching my own. She breathes steadily as she plays with my curls.

Soon she stops and her breathing deepens indicating that she is asleep now leaving me to my thoughts.

I would have never thought this would ever be possible. Would have never thought someone could love a person like me.
